Villain seems to be a fairly ABC player, but is certainly capable of checking strong hands.

Hero is also playing rather ABC, but very tight, not sure if villain notices or not.

Effective stacks of 548.

Villain limps in early, hero raises with A1/2 5 card plo hi/lol.. Is this too nitty?A1/2 5 card plo hi/lol.. Is this too nitty?T1/2 5 card plo hi/lol.. Is this too nitty?51/2 5 card plo hi/lol.. Is this too nitty?31/2 5 card plo hi/lol.. Is this too nitty? to 9, only villain calls.

Check check.

My hand is good but lots of these guys limp A2 and I don't want to be free rolled.

Villain 21, hero 84, villain calls.

Gin card! Perfect time you start building the pot.

River (189): 71/2 5 card plo hi/lol.. Is this too nitty?
Check check.

I know I have the nut low on the river, but my high is really weak considering the board. In the off chance that villain has the same low as me but a better high, I'd just be giving him extra money.

Is this check reasonable or should I be looking for value still?

You have a 5h in your hand and otb just fyi. May want to clarify suits not that I think it will significantly change analysis.

Either action makes sense, really base it off villains prior action. Chances are they are one sided hand, too. A value bet makes sense to throw out on the river. If they checked to you, they probably have the same concerns. Showing some strength there probably is the right move based on your description of them.

As played, i prefer betting flop. River check is ok.

Your pair of aces is not that bad for a high, although many straight and 2 pair possibilities.

If you are afraid of being quartered, what would have done on river if you checked and they bet pot?

What would you have done if river card was an A or 3?

I would have bet pot on river, and maybe they fold and you get it all.

OP has 9s and 5s as their high hand and the nut low

I am saying they did not have a 9 in their hand, so they did not have 2 pair.

I think villain had bet pot on river as played, I would've called, as there's a good chance I'm getting at least half.

However, if the river was a 3 or an A and bet pot, I would probably fold as I feel I'm getting scooped a lot.

I know the first statement feels contradictory to my action of checking, but I felt villain was capable of checking something like nut low plus 2p+, but after reading comments and rethinking the hand, I think potting river makes more sense after villain checks.

You know, I misread OP. I thought the '9' was a card, not the bet. My bad....
