Hard to do in this amount of space, but here's two items I found interesting.
First, in the paper that Chris Ferguson wrote with his father, as almost an afterthought, they present an optimal bet size for a VERY restricted NL hold'em situation. As anyone who has read the book Russ Fox and I wrote can attest, bet sizing in big bet poker is a subject near and dear to my heart. I don't think I'm going to elaborate here, there's a good chance I'll use this paper as the basis for a future 2+2 magazine article.
If you want to calculate risk of ruin in games with an asymmetrical payoff, such as video poker where the median session is a loss even if the average session is positive, then Michael Canjar's paper is interesting. I don't know if anyone NEEDS to know this information, but if the subject interests you, the paper is worth reading.
Just to provide some balance, IMHO Paulsen's article on betting NFL teasers to cover ground very familiar to well-read sports bettors. If it adds something to the common wisdom, I couldn't figure out what it was.
Hope this helps a little.
