guidelines for submitting articles??

hi, i am curious as to guidelines to submitting articles....
the three things i'm curious about:
1) maximum word count/length (FYI, i would be looking probably at doing a series of articles)
2) general timing of getting article manuscripts to you... obviously the more articles you have done the tighter to the deadline you can probably submit as you'd know what 2p2 editing is looking for in general.
3) general discussions with the editor/publisher regarding what i'd like to do... you could shoot me a PM if you want..
