Hello everybody i am a great fan of using quotes and/or sayings in my conversations, because they are so brilliant/fun in saying a lot in just a few words and/or lines, and playing live poker have given/teached me so much, in life, in business, in good ways and bad, but in the end it is the greatest game i ever played and will be playing as long as i can.

Like they can be full of emotion,anger,forgiveness,love,humor,religion you name it, and that's why i am asking you all to tell me your favorite quote[s] and/or saying[s] about poker, and i know if you don't have one you are going to have fun looking for them, because there are sayings/quotes about poker going back century's.

This is for me the ultimate song about poker{to be honest i don't know any other lol}and just a good song imo, but also because i met a old live poker player 28 years ago that gave me similar advice after he won about 10-15k{in dutch guilders that is,don't know what the rate guilder-dollar was at the time}and he gave me the advice i never forgot till this day: boy i have never seen a angry/mad man win any money on a poker-table.
And i have played and talked to that man many times since that day, and i truly believe that that man saved me hundred's of thousands of dollars since that day.
And that man literary died on a poker table with about 100k of profits in front of him, and i was there and i knew that his dream/wish of where he wanted to die had come true, since he had no living family anymore, i can tell you the animal shelter here in town had a big donation the next day, but still i had the feeling that i lost a second father that night, so that is another reason that i like this song because it reminds me of the best poker player i have ever played against and of a good man that was a gambler his whole live, but he never won alone, many people he helped and most people didn't know it that he helped other people until his funeral where almost 250 people showed up and this was a man without any family.
Yea for me this man was the gambler, and one of the best man i ever met.

Here is a Poker Clif original, from a thread talking about saying something to tilt your opponent for example, "Your mom was good last night."

By the way, a few months ago there was a guy online giving me a lot of crap, and he broke out "your mom was good last night." I usually don't respond, but I was pretty sure he was young, so I came back with, "That's pretty kinky since my mom is 80." He never typed another word in chat.

I told my mom about this, and she was really upset. She was sputtering and couldn't get the words out, but she finally said it--"I'm only 78!"

Ha, I had a guy troll me with this after busting him and I loved it. "You're to friggin stupid to know you are an idiot!"
