Author Stephen King gives his roughish drafts of his book to his also-author wife to read first. He relates the time she's reading and remarks how slow one of the longer passages is and he says well, he has to explain the character's background. Her reply was, "Yeah, but do you have to bore me to death while you do it?"

I'd like to see more opinion pieces, humorous stuff, personal stories. Hard strategy is clearly the 2+2 brand, and that's great. It's certainly well earned. But it doesn't always make for the most entertaining reading.
I don't think the magazine gets the attention it deserves, and this might be one reason. I'd also pay more attention to promotion, announcing the next issue with perhaps a teaser or two. "In this issue, we feature such and such by so and so. And by popular demand we're publishing a follow-up to so and so's stimulating article on XYZ..."

Just post a pic of a mostly naked hot babe with the 2+2 mag link over her navel and they'll come - um - I mean go - go read it - that's what I meant.
