Sure. I'll bite the bullet and say a society that has Canada’s or England's gun control laws will be much less deadly society overall even if that means at the margins that might mean that someone who might have used a gun appropriately wouldn't have the chance to, but that's why it's called biting a bullet.

How about we just block all male immigrants from the US to protect all the women? Surely if a handful of attacks in 15 years means we have to block all Muslims for our safety it makes sense to stop a crime that impacts tens of thousands of women.

Right because rapists always approach from the front, announce themselves clearly, and give the woman plenty of time to pull the gun out of her purse. They're really dumb that way.

Wanna bet that gun is at least 10x more likely to be used in some kind of fatal or injury accident, than to successfully defend against a rape or robbery?

This is an unreasonable desire?

It's what I hoped, not because I have any warm feelings for Islam, but because I hate to see any people face more risk and hate because of what people on the fringe of their communities do. If it's a random attack then perhaps other, unrelated people of color face slightly less hate.

Regarding (B), bingo. The far-right has basically been indirectly cheerleading this series of bombings for 48 hours now because they think it's a gain for Trump. What they don't realize is that a Trump Presidency would lead to a ten-fold increase of this type of attack. I doubt radical Islamic terrorists who don't care about dying or spending the rest of their lives in prison are going to take kindly to the POTUS continually insulting them.
