Who will run against Trump in 2020? Who will run against Trump in 2020?

A sitting president getting primaried would be amazing.

Friendly reminder not to recalibrate what normal is because of Trump.

Kasich is pretty ****ing right-wing.

Yeah he's got "OMGZ BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT" placed fairly prominently on there

Jimmy Carter/Ted Kennedy. I wasn't old enough to appreciate that it was an unusual thing.

The clips they're showing from his upcoming interview with Oprah sure make it seem like he could be paving the way for a run. He'd be what - 77 though? That's hella old.

After the recent Virginia elections, I'm pretty sure Dems should run Ru Paul in 2020

biden is trash i hope he doesn't run because he will get a lot of votes despite being basically well liked for absolutely zero policy reasons. he is hillary clinton with a penis policy wise, possibly worse

i still think gillibrand is the favorite amongst many contenders

It would be nice but the Dem establishment doesn't want to run somebody progressive.

lol Cuban

As he publicly flirts with a run for the presidency in 2020, Mark Cuban has also privately been in touch with potential allies and strategists to plot out a campaign.

The Dallas Mavericks owner confirmed that he has corresponded on multiple occasions since the 2016 election with Steve Bannon, President Donald Trump’s former chief strategist.

He downplayed the interactions in an email exchange with The Daily Beast, saying merely that he “texted with him a few time[s]” and that none, he believed, had “been more than one full sentence.” But according to four sources familiar with their conversations, the two have been in touch for months about a possible 2020 bid. Bannon, these sources say, has encouraged Cuban to run and to consider doing so as a Democrat, seeing it as a realistic path to a viable presidential run.

Why is everyone so sure Michelle won't want to run?
11-10-2017 , 12:18 PM
She said she didn’t want to, and she has less relevant experience than HRC and maybe even trump at this point

ok run for like, congress or mayor or something, and then maybe she can run against trump in 2028

Has she given any indication that she is interested in being a public servant? My impression was that after eight years in the White House and the public eye she was quite content to be a private citizen once again and out of the spotlight.

Grunch: Trick question - Trump will not be running for president in 2020 after resigning/being impeached.

I've been keeping my eye on Jason Kander and I'm pretty convinced he is going to run. IMO that is a great thing for the party whether or not he wins the nomination. We need more young democrats with national profiles. And I wouldn't be surprised if he does win or if he's picked as VP to one of the septuagenarians.

Big fan of Jason Kander. He is about to start a podcast dedicated to democrats trying to talk to repubs. It is currently #2 on the podcast charts just from the intro. Not sure if he is running in 2020, but he is going to be a major left figure.

(majority 54 is his pod)

Hows the podcast the #2 just from a 2 minute intro? Any idea how they do their rankings?

Guys background is pretty amazing. If he's a good speaker he's going places. Not a whole lot of info on how he is on national issues though.

edit: Did some more digging on some of his positions on the issues. Already on board with single payer, which is a huge plus in my book.

I'd vote for The Rock but only if he took on his WWE persona and ended every speech with "IF YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA SMELLLLLLLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK...IS COOKIN'" *eyebrow*
