I was merely saying that the best strategy when arguing in public against someone who is easily proven wrong about many of the things he says is to avoid inaccurate comments that he can dispute or that the audience knows is likely wrong. You should focus on the slam dunks if there are plenty to choose from.

grunching, but huge lols at the loser who cried about ted cruz not getting to eat dinner in peace being the most progressive politician in the country

he's in a tight race in a historically red state and can't pull this off without disaffected republicans either staying home or switching teams, so he is smartly avoiding making any major gaffes that can be used to increase turnout against him (including playing into the stupid narrative that dems want mob violence or whatever)

you're free to go over to his website and check out his positions on the issues and then get back to me when you find somebody who fits the "progressive" label more than he does

O'Rourke tweeted Tuesday: "Not right that Senator Cruz and his wife Heidi were surrounded and forced to leave a restaurant" because of protests. O'Rourke said the "Cruz family should be treated with respect."
OMG DEALBREAKER

his response was completely on the money while your original post is still some ridiculous meow chow that should be ignored

Thought he was smart enough to realize that’s a stupid position for a candidate like him to hold.

Midway through the Slow Burn series on the Clinton impeachment, and I think I'm finally 100% in the "Clintons need to get the hell out of public view forever" camp.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Andrew Gillum yet in this thread. I mean he won't have a ton of experience and may not be the strongest candidate, but the Gillum : Beto ratio here is shockingly low.

2016 didn't convince you?

I personally would be willing to vote for hillary again. it would be a great comeback story.

First Warren, now this.

He’s been out of the limelight for a few years but I think John Edwards can beat trump. A different comeback story.

Extremely unsurprising position for Avenatti.

Basically no Democrat will really actually take a pro-immigration position. Sure, our country WAS built by immigrants, but that's the past. The Dem position will not be anything other than kinder gentler deportation. Most Dems will probably even find ways to walk at least part way back on Dreamers.

Absent a star or someone really progressive it's not the worst idea. She has the experience of facing trump now and is likely to run a far more effective campaign next time. Who knows how some unknown will cope but not many seem able to.

Nothing would consign the trump era to the dustbin of history than being finally defeated by Clinton.

Jfc no.

Serious questions asked about her health and stamina last time; the deplorables comment; the infamous stumble; and most of all the Clinton pocket-lining.

Obama was a rank outsider at the start of the last cycle; maybe another will appear for 2020.
10-24-2018 , 05:57 PM
Yeah, if Hillary had given free speeches to the Boys & Girls Club and other non-profits over that two year period instead of charging the most elitist and disliked companies a quarter mill per speech, I'm convinced she would be president right now. The Clinton's can't help but enrich themselves, despite running in popularity contest where image is important.
