Moulton kind of reminds me of a left version of Cotton - you'd think he'd be so perfect, but then when you see/year him there's something missing.

A CNN poll conducted by SSRS surveyed respondents about three general-election matchups. Former Vice President Joe Biden beats Trump 57 percent to 40 percent. Former presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) runs ahead of Trump 55 to 42 percent, and Oprah Winfrey leads against Trump 51 to 42 percent.

But if you add up Trump's chances, he has 124% chance of winning libtard.

What if you add Kurt Angle to the mix?

I was thinking more of his willingness to vote with Repubs to neuter Dodd-Frank and other financial regulations. He was one of the few Ds to vote for that stupid bill that's only purpose was to allow mobile home vendors to more easily rip off their customers. Also voted for FISA.

He won +14 in 2014 and ran unopposed in 2016. If that isn't the type of district/rep we should primary from the left I don't know what is.

whenever I hear about Garcetti I think about his dad

She's a veteran: a veteran with no legs. I like veterans who've got legs.

Military still votes Trump if he says that.

i want a reporter to ask trump i he’s braver than tammy tuckworth

And now she's pregnant!

I have a tough time picturing a woman with 2 children under the age of 5 running for president. Doesn't seem that good for the kids.

Probably more people in the greater LA area than in Arkansas.

Edit: Just looked it up, and it does. 3.9m in LA, 2.8m in Arkansas.

By the way, a name that I haven't seen much discussion on anywhere: Adam Schiff.

16 years in the House, he's on the Intelligence Committee now and was on Foreign Affairs before... Experience as an assistant US Attorney, a role in which he prosecuted an FBI agent passing info to Russia.

He's been out front on the Russia stuff since Trump won, and he's a frequent guest on MSNBC... He's probably got better than expected name recognition among Democrats.

LA county's official population is over 10 million. A lot of people in Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties commute to or from LA county as well. Greater LA population might be more like 15 or 20 million. Garcetti is not everyone's mayor, but he's on the media everywhere here and most people in the other cities know him more than their own mayors.

I had hopes for him, but he voted for that FISA bill. WTF?

Whoever runs better make their campaign slogan:

Hindsight 2020.

Schiff is great at playing the steady, methodical, careful guy who updates you on the Russia stuff.

That gets you nowhere in a multiway election. He's not a big enough personality IMO.

What do you think are fair odds the democratic nominee ends up being someone older than 60?

Market implies maybe 3:2 in favor of olds.

I might be interested in doing a small bet on this. I'm quite bullish on the younger candidates.

Agree. This far out, the nominee is very often someone who's less well known nationally. Don't think Hillary's gonna get it (though she may try), Warren seems like she sincerely doesn't want to run, Bernie too old and too far left, Biden -- maybe, Oprah is a wild card. Against that field Dems have some legit backbenchers like Corey Booker, Patrick Duvall, maybe O'Malley, probably others I'm forgetting at the moment.
01-25-2018 , 12:16 AM
I thought Warren and Bernie and Biden and Oprah and...would be the easiest.
