Wow, just unbelievable.

This is how you lose a General Election.

Trumps work is done.

Trump mobilises his deplorable base into rejecting HRC by a constant stream of hateful, sexist invective and it works, and people here want Oprah ****ing Winfrey to run against him?

Interesting and funny question.

Trump will find one, that's for sure.

Trumps work is not done. He will keep being the fool and chief and continue making any choice but him all to clear to all but the fools.

He usually goes with first names but "O" adjectives are hard. I got Wacky Winfrey as the favorite.

They dont. That ticket wont happen. What are your choices?

Or are you here to just make racial slurs and say no trump will crush that one.

I'll say it one more time, if you think Trump's getting inaugurated again then I have a lot of money you can win in a wager.

Your posts ITT have been pretty idiotic but this one takes the cake, the idea that all states Trump won are now "red states" where he has home field advantage or something. Trump won an incredibly slim victory, then had his popularity crater to record lows for a new president!

This is like posting after 2008 "wow idk if Romney is the right candidate to flip Indiana back to the red column" in a world where Obama was historically unpopular (which he wasn't)
01-08-2018 , 06:28 PM
why can't oprah just pour 100MM into being governor of a red state like bama? why ruin a great talking point which is we need a professional who knows wtf they're doing in the office? then after being governor for a while you can get the feel for if you really want to be president, without being in charge of foreign policy and commander in chief of more nuclear weapons that it would take to blow up the whole world many times over

While I'm not a huge fan of Oprah for prez, I also disagree with this pretty strongly as I just don't think this is an effective talking point. The electorate is not sophisticated enough to care about this, and regardless most are pretty pissed with the Washington establishment and might even prefer an outsider. Yes I know people hate trump (outsider) but they might hate Congress (insiders) even more.

Florida, no chance.

Pennsylvania doubtful, Ohio, doubtful, Wisconsin doubtful.

Oprah might swing Michigan, thou far from a guarantee.

If you go thru the list of states Trump won, you begin to see how difficult the task will be.

People who think Oprah has the woman vote wrapped up do not understand how much woman hate other woman, particularly how they hate successful woman.

Trump would get 4 of 10 woman voters, how sick is that.

Add in more voter suppression, misogyny by men, ramped up racism of Spanish and other cultures against blacks, and bam, you have Trump four more years.

Democrats vastly underestimate the hate is this country.

Trump didn't underestimate it, he exploited it, that's why he's president.

Yeah no way she could win all those states Obama won twice.
01-08-2018 , 07:22 PM
So we've got a guy in the thread who apparently has no idea that trump got outvoted and many states were extremely close. Also ignoring that demographics alone for 2020 will be probably +2 dem by then from now too.

Oprah could spend a billion and would never win a race of the entire state (gov/pres) Alabama ffs.

Wisconsin doubtful is just plain dumb. She'd win that one clearly.

Jones only got about half the votes Trump did before you go there, those R votes will be back for a reg/presidential election year.

To be fair, that base is gonna hate no matter who the dem candidate is.

It's just whether every one of them goes to the polls or not.

Yea there's no "safe" Democrat that Republicans won't invent some kind of scandal, fake some outrage etc. If you're afraid of Republican vindictivness then it's like trying to go about your day avoiding a bully and that's no way to run a party.

If you think that, you haven't been paying attention to what has been going on.

Every year, Wisconsin goes redder and reddder, and voter suppression gets bigger and bigger.

Prediction: Lib icon Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin D will lose her re-election bid in 2018.

lol 27k on 1.4m votes, desperately grasping at straws to confirm center left worldview that republicans are unstoppable and great

20/20

Also the Wisconsin state legislature is Republican.

Prediction: Trump would beat Oprah in Wisconsin by more votes than he beat Hillary.

The days of Wisconsin being a blue state are gone, and gone for good.

The U.S. of A. has changed, Democrats simply weren't paying attention.

If I started naming states Oprah would lose that Hillary Clinton won, people around here would lose their mind.
