Who will run against Trump in 2020? Who will run against Trump in 2020?

"F" rating from the NRA. He has a protectionist stance on trade that I dislike, but otherwise he's surprisingly liberal. The one wildcard is:

Quote:
Recchie obtained a restraining order against Brown to keep him from harassing or annoying her and from "doing bodily harm." In a supporting affidavit, she said she was "in fear for the safety and well-being of myself and our children due to [Brown's] physical violence and abusive nature" and that Brown had "intimidated, pushed, shoved and bullied" her on several occasions.[91] Years later, Recchie walked back her claims of physical violence against Brown.[92]

Not 100% on anti-DP, almost. Voted to end it for federal crimes at one point and several votes to make it harder, but at least one for DP in some terrorism cases.

On the domestic abuse, yeah, I forgot about that. From googling now: His ex-wife refutes it. A Republican "influence marketing" company seems to have raised it as an issue. But there was an accusation of bullying and shoving in a divorce filing.

Yeah Brown is, IMO, the only guy outside the main group with a chance.

Tulsi gave a detailed apology for her previous stance of LGBT issues today on twitter. Because embedding twitter links is beyond my skill level, here's the link: https://twitter.com/TulsiGabbard/sta...59308112809986

I'm sure you can all it opportunistic given the fact she just announced she's running for president, but I believe it to be sincere, and more meaningful/believable than similar changes of heart from Obama, Clinton, etc.

As far as apologies go this one is really good.
01-17-2019 , 11:25 PM
now do a muslim one
01-17-2019 , 11:55 PM
that apology raises lots of questions IMO

how does she reconcile her religious beliefs now then? would she make faith-based decisions as president and work to implement her religious views on the public?

why did she change her mind anyway? she just alluded to "experiences"

Solid play. Might have to add Special K to the spreadsheet, except I don't know how to spell her name.

Was literally just about to reply "Do Klobuchar, Trolly" before I scrolled to the above post.

Still. Do Klobuchar, Trolly!

Klobuchar has been my pick for VP for a long time. She seems a little too bland for top of the ticket, but maybe I don't give her enough credit.

another former prosecutor cop who actually isn't very good at questioning witnesses, as we've seen in multiple senate hearings

OK, updated.

I think the clear GTO path forward is to have Bernie run and win 2020, step down in 2024 when he gets a case of the olds, and then AOC can run since she'll be 35 a couple months before inauguration day.

Why 2p2 liberals hate Biden is just "too old"? I are disappoint.

Brown is a good candidate with mostly good policies but he would have to be the clear cut top choice for me to ever consider him over some of the other candidates and I don’t see that happening. The senate seat in Ohio is that important...I have no faith in someone who isn’t him winning there and the dems absolutely need that seat. If him running would guarantee the presidency then sure. I don’t want to play the electability game after 2016 of course but it’s difficult for me to see him lighting the world on fire in the primaries. If he actually is like 5 points above the other candidates in the rust belt states than fair enough given how important they are but I’m skeptical

• History on busing
• Generally lukewarm centrist
• All-but-confirmed skeeve; would be legit surprised if there weren't a couple dozen Me Too skeletons waiting to jitterbug out of the closet there

I mean there's the plagiarism thing, too, but honestly who cares. I think his enduring perceived eligibility is two parts coat-tailing on Obama's charisma to one part osmosis into collective consciousness of his Onion persona.

Local Ohioan awval has voted for Sherrod 3 times! 2006, 2012 and 2018. Shook his hand in 2006.
Sherrod would win Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin and thus the Presidency even if he lost Florida.

He doesn't get a lot of heat as far as I can tell.

He will if he announces. I can personally guarantee that.

I hate him by far the most out of all potentials. I'll spit fire at liberals on FB just as harsh as I did against Trump if they start talking Biden up. Not a chance I'd vote for him in the general (in CA).

Man, that is a terribly put together piece. I read the whole thing and still have no idea why O'Rourke declined to endorse. They sort of vaguely say that he was pals with her opponent and wanted to run as a centrist, but details are completely absent. They quote a little from some interview he gave explaining, but don't link it or summarize his reasons.
