She was primaried by 2 Dems and she got 83.5% of the vote.

If Bernie and Warren both run and one of them gets crushed in Iowa/New Hampshire the other damn well better pull out and endorse.

Yeah, might be shocking to those who mainline MSNBC and Maddow, but Tulsi is actually popular in her district. As in, they probably don't really care too much about her views on Russia or that she made a weird trip to see Assad. Her previous views on gays won't play well in the primary, but those don't get held much against Dems in general since even Obama or Hillary weren't for gay marriage until it was politically expedient to a few years ago.

Tulsi basically has that house seat as long as she wants, and could even be a Hawaiian senator one day.

I can buy all this. But it still means she is DOA in a Democratic primary.

I have some confidence that Warren would drop out in that scenario. But I doubt Bernie would.

I also choose this guy's wife.
01-15-2019 , 10:14 AM
well somebody has to choose her since he's out living that gay life

Forget if this was already official or not, but Gillibrand is in

Still think it's fine to ding Obama a bit for lagging on gay rights, but not to the degree of Tulsi, of course.

RE: Obama and gay marriage (TRIGGER WARNING GREENWALD TWEET):

(I don't get how to embed tweets but there's the link: https://twitter.com/ggreenwald/statu...68990996463616)

While Tulsi's words on gay marriage are very bad, and I agree her flipped stance is half hearted and she may still have personal feelings towards the issue, I give her a little bit more of a break because 1) the worst of her words were when she was very young -- young twenties, and 2) her dad was/is fervently anti-LGBT (ran an anti-LGBT PAC), and it's probably difficult to avoid that influence, especially when you are young. She's still just 37.

Obama, etc. were older and should know better. I don't care if that's what the focus groups told him to do, I don't respect that and it's just as bad in many ways.

I had trouble keeping track of all these candidates, so I made a thing:

why 2p2 liberals hate them section should all be "CENTRIST"

Sherrod Brown announces listening tour on "dignity of work", will visit IA, NH, SC, NV in the upcoming weeks.

The liberals are centrists or at least they think they are.

I haven't heard anything about Sherrod Brown for a while, and maybe this isn't saying much, but he crushes Trump. He easily wins all the purple states in the mid-west and that's all it takes.

KG seems like the D version of LAWLENTY

He doesn't grab headlines because his name recognition is very low nationally, but his actions seem to point toward running. He has openly said that he's in the middle of making a decision on whether to run, which I assume generally means he's running unless the internal polling turns out to be awful.

I like Sherrod Brown and I think he not only would be liked by most of the Bernie and HRC crowd, but also by independents. I looked up a few things on him and found this:

Lol Ohio - but he wins there.

Sherrod is too nuanced for purple states. Like, "Dignity of work"? Independents don't even know how to spell dignity much less define it. How hard is it to just offer people free **** and say weed should be legal?

Setting aside his domestic abuse history, does he have weird Midwestern issues that are non-starters? Is he pro-gun? Is he for the death penalty?
