Like I give you credit for actually not liking all the horrible democrats, but she's better than the average Dem in congress by a good margin.

Don't you think it's a good thing some of us who were Clinton supporters have absolutely changed our tunes since 2016 and admit we were wrong? Not sure why you'd be critical of that.

If people still think HRC would be better than Bernie at this point, we can laugh at them together, but I seriously doubt there are many people who still feel that way here.

WTF am I reading, Tulsi is Jill Stein-grade crazysauce

Castro seems okay. A bit twerpy looking and a little too centrist, but w/e.

Maybe, I guess it depends on what issues you value the most.

Champstark,

Seriously? You're quoting something about her apology in 2012 about something she said in 2004 when she was 23 years old?

Does this not smell like a slander campaign to you?

Who would even bring that up?

Stein is worse solely bc of the anti-vaccine stuff.

2004 (see "Six years later...." in the article) was the year she protested legalizing same sex marriage and all that other crap.

In TWO THOUSAND AND SIXTEEN (see second article quote in that tweet) she talked about being gay as "not my lifestyle" which is obviously homophobic code language.

Pretty much everyone who supported HRC over Bernie, even those who supposedly voted for Bernie, but pretty much campaigned for HRC here during the primaries (Dids for the biggest example) will be wrong next time and the time after that as well.

Corrected that date (before your post) and she was still just 23 years old and not much more than a child and following her father.

Like I said, I don't love her, but her position and evolution on gay marriage is almost exactly the same as Obama and HRC - and she's better on other things imo.

It's OK to post slander campaigns cause it's like her own words bro, and even though they may not signify that she's anti-gay, they're words that anti-gay people sometimes use, so we should be very concerned, but of course insist we are still reasonable people who will fully endorse her candidacy if it turns out we were wrong.

Honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic.

Anyway, just to be safe I'm supporting the Bloomberg/Beto ticket.

I'm hoping for Bloomberg/Romney. Don't want to rush things and start moving to the left too quickly.

Whom haven't we disqualified yet? Is Bernie still a Maybe, or did his lack of GAF about sexual harassment on his campaign, and perceived (but not actual) unpopularity with black folks take him down? At least he's not a boomer.
01-12-2019 , 04:59 PM
Julian Castro strikes me as Cory Booker only even less so, change my mind.
01-12-2019 , 05:06 PM
He's certainly less Cory Booker than Cory Booker, so I don't see how we would.
01-12-2019 , 05:07 PM
100% chance at some point in the past, present or future AOC said/says something that will disqualify her in a way that super-predators/mass-incarceration/tens of millions of dollars from Wall St./killing tens of thousands of people in Libya never disqualified HRC or never would disqualify anyone who NYT, WaPo, MSNBC, and the DNC decide are serious qualified people. (ie they are good for big business and donors)

I mean that in the ways Booker fails to appeal, Castro appeals even less, but I'm open to correction.

Gonna need to see a long-term birth certificate for this Castro guy. Worse than Barack Hussein
01-12-2019 , 06:12 PM

One of the benefits of Bernie being 100 years old is he can get with anything. He could grab some ass while calling himself a magician and he wouldn't lose any voters. I think there was an episode of Seinfeld that covered this.

Julian won't have that luxury

But like, when the "hit pieces" are written by Jacobin or Mehdi Hasan, maybe it's not a case of "very serious people" doing "hit pieces" but it's actually people honestly recounting the ways in which she sucks?

Something to chew on!

I like Tulsi Gabbard because she looks like my wife.

This is just awful:

"We’ll work to make the first two years of college, a certification program or an apprenticeship accessible and affordable, so millions more people get the skills they need to get a good job without drowning in debt." #Julian2020
"work to make...two years...accessible and affordable"

bye!

They'll try, but hasn't Trump shown that this stuff doesn't really stick if you handle it correctly?

I'm still optimistic about the entire window shifting left. If the window is in the same place in 10 years then we're all dead soon anyway. But it's clearly moved left already.
