Having grown up in a family and an area that is staunchly conservative, I'm convinced race has little to do with the idealism behind bootstraps.

I also don't think PC itself creates racism, it's merely an extension of good manners with a dash of empathy. Altogether a great idea. But PC misused in the way it often is in politics as a weapon to bludgeon opponents sure does backfire with regard to combating racism if not fostering it outright.
You're delusional. PC may make people roll their eyes, but it doesn't make them racist. I'm sorry, but your family and friends or whoever you grew up around aren't good people.

Okay that's it. **** you I'm voting Trump.

To answer his question, it's pretty simple: P is for Politics. SMP is for Science, Maths & Philosophy.
SMP is like the Special Needs wing of a Star Trek convention.

Finally we have hit on the compelling public policy issue of the day. Who were the people FoldnDark and are they good?

nothing new in this 4 minute clip, but first I've seen of the DC Madam story on Fox/ Just one of the morning hosts, but still, helps build the anticipation.

Is it? I'll have to defer to your expertise on this one.

The anticipation for what?

Well, for the tenth time, he's just above average.

I lost track of the thread, and I agree Trump's IQ is a boring topic. But it DOES matter that we have a reality-based concept of "average intelligence".

If you seriously believe that Trump is below the average American's intelligence, I can only conclude that your peers are a highly biased sample of the population.

The DC Madam story, well, I wouldn't hold out too much hope even if infowars says Ted Cruz' name is on it. I think, tough as it is to believe, Alex Jones may not have his ducks in a row on this one.

To briefly recap:

1) The guy with the records is a disbarred attorney who got fired from the case
2) It's unclear why he has the records
3) He's set up a deadman switch where he had to press a button every 108 minutes 72 hours to stop the records from being released

The thing is that as far as I can tell there's nothing really stopping him from releasing the records. He's disbarred already. The person who had legal rights to the records killed herself. So if he had them, why the charade? Or hell, why not just anonymously send a reporter "hey here are some phone records from the DC Madam, that 4th number from the top is Ted Cruz's, you connect the rest of the dots"?

The answer to all them questions is that he's a crazy dude who likes attention.

Bucko fans, just terrible people.

Actually, wat?
04-04-2016 , 10:51 PM
I like the angle that TRUMP should have the attorney killed.
04-04-2016 , 11:09 PM
Fly, while I agree he most likely has nothing, if he did have what he claims, hed be in contempt if he released them and subject to prosecution.
04-04-2016 , 11:36 PM
So what's the angle, skip town with the gofundme money? "Lose" the information and sell book later? Just plain nutso?

all of the above

Kasich is such a clown.

"I'm up 12 points on Hillary in Wisconsin but I am going to get crushed in Wisconsin. 38% of people in Wisconsin don't know who I am."

This is why I should get the nomination!

dude being up by 12 is a reason he should get the nomination... and the 38% of people don't know him is super ****ed up.

Sounds like the standard electability argument that is the strength of his campaign and not in the least clownish. The dude is generic R.

Fly:

I did not know that Sibley is a disbarred attorney, but if that is the case wouldn't there be another possibility ... This disbarred lawyer is surely aware of the $500,000.00 transfer of funds from a Ted Cruz PAC to a Carly Fiorina PAC and the questions swirling around that transaction. (The Federal Elections Commission is asking questions about this unusual transaction.)

I read a report (somewhere) speculating that this transfer of funds was "hush money" being paid to the Carly Fiorina campaign because a former [female] Cruz staffer was working for Carly's campaign and knew about Ted's [alleged] philandering. (If you believe this conspiracy theory, the money was transferred to Fiorina's campaign in order to keep this former Cruz staffer from spilling the beans.)

So former lawyer Sibley sees that Cruz will pay money to keep his infidelities hushed up, so he decides "Hey, I can shake Cruz down too. If it worked for Carly Fiorina, it can work for me too!" Why not?

Filing the motion with the Supreme Court (and all the other machinations) is window dressing. Sibley and Cruz are playing a game of chicken. Sibley knows that he'll probably go to jail if he releases the phone records. Cruz knows that too and is gambling that Sibley won't release the records - and that the Supreme Court will not lift the gag order. Sibley is gambling that Cruz will crack under the pressure and pay the money [to Sibley] in order to make this go away. Ted Cruz's real problem though is that, if these infidelity rumors are actually true, Sibley probably won't be the last person "with knowledge" to try and shake him down.

I'll give NRO this, they are spitting some hot fire in response to the Trump phenomenon. Here is a takedown of the alt-right with not so much as an ounce of blaming the Left. I did roll my eyes at the bit about conservatives defending Western Civilization from sexual perversion, but there wasn't much else to disagree with.

That dude isn't disbarred

Except oops the next article is "why America sucks" (where have I heard that sentiment before?) It turns out it's because of benghazi and Obama warning against islamophobia and being too scared of offending Muslims to say "Islamic terrorism". Good to know they draw the line at heil hitler though. Bold journalism indeed taking such a courageous stand.

First time I loaded the page this story was helpfully suggested at the top. Then I F5'ed and got this one. I'm pretty sure it was some sort of filthy liberal trick that made their own page content algorithm spit out examples of exactly what the author is wringing his hands over.

Cuck refers to white man watching wife with black dude?

I didn't know it had racial elements to it.
