Yes, that's exactly how it works. He did it all by himself, and he told me he did it because he doesn't like you.

I need to find an appropriate gif as a reaction to Boa's post.

No, Obama did it because he hates America and wants to make his Mooslim buddies in the Middle East rich.

OK I should know better, but I have to respond to it because I keep hearing it everywhere and its such and intellectually dishonest statement.

Here is a graph of historical gas prices.

Here's a graph of the Dow over roughly the same period.

Gee, its almost as though something major happened to the world's financial markets in the Fall of 2008 which caused gas prices to drop dramatically and then steady rise since...I wonder what that could be.

I was careful to specify between now and november for a reason. Democrats who claimed bush cause higher gas prices are dumb too.

On a related note, apparently Obama has also single-handedly doubled the value of the stock market while in office, so that's good.

You watch your mouth, boy. George W. Bush did everything in his power to get gas down to affordable prices right before he left office, and Obama went and **** all that hard work up!

You watch your mouth again, boy! George W. Bush did everything in his power to lower the price of stocks right before he left office so that we could afford to buy them. Now Obama has gone and ****ed up all that hard work!

ITT, free-market republicans are upset because the president isn't working hard enough to change the market price of commodities. Should Obama also try to lower the price of a gallon of milk?
03-13-2012 , 05:57 PM
Is newt's plan really "we can drill our way to $2.50 gas"?

Newt wakes up every morning and farts on a sandbox. Whatever he interprets from the sand after wards is what he decides his next campaign move is.

I don't think government price manipulation is the advocated course of response. However if Obama curtailed some government restrictions it would have the affect of increaing supply. Pretty sloppy shot at Republicans but thanks for trying.

I'm sure if gas was was way down and the stock market was also down Boa would still be talking about how awesome it is that Obama has kept gas prices low.

Why not? He fixed the economy didn't he? You can't have it both ways.

Please tell how 1-.1% more supply would have an effect on world gas prices?
03-13-2012 , 06:03 PM
Which specific government restrictions is Obama not curtailing?

Must be pretty bored to defend a random awful Boa Hancock post.

Not defending boa, quite the opposite really. Obama, and many of his supporters, use boas logic wrt the economy. It's stupid here and there, not in just one.

Draw a supply and demand curve. Shift supply curve up and find new price.
03-13-2012 , 06:07 PM
Obama doubled the stock market
03-13-2012 , 06:09 PM
The rapid flurry of defend Obama posts just tells me that liberals know he is weak on the issue.

We must pretend he knows what he is doing. So think the liberals on this forum.

He is even weaker on the employment issue. So many people still without jobs and he does nothing to help them. For Shame Mr. Obama. Do your job or let someone else do it.

I think most reasonable people would agree that probably the most any President can do is help prevent the economy from spiraling out of control

jobs
gas prices
the stock market

these are things stupid people point to to credit/blame a given president
