Did there not used to be a drunk thread in this forum? Or is that something I made up when I was drunk?

I can't really drink because of long term medication, and while I've never been a problem drinker, I feel I've missed an opportunity by not going to AA and having like a five year chip at this point.

Would be nice to have something to show for all this sobriety, aside from stable relationships and a decent job.

Seriously. IT's been 9 months or so. 8 months, and no drunk thread bumps, when we've got the culmination of all the **** that we've been talking about for 10 years. Finally the veneer has worn off of the political system.

We got YOUR FIRED! YOUR FIRED! is a ****ing presidential contender. THAT **** HAPPEPEND! He's got his wall! He's got his tax returns buried so deep we won't find them until February! His African safari protected species hunting kids are more literate than I gave them credit for! TRUMP IS THE NOMINEE! We joked about it 10 years ago. THAT **** HAPPPEND!

And in the democrat corner, we got PROBABLY BROKE ALOTTA LAWS! PROBABLY BROKE A LOTTA LAWS ****ing killed it during the MTV awards show! I mean the primary acceptance three day extravaganza. She might've had the greatest roster of speakers to ever make the main speaker sound blasé by comparison. The Obamas: Killed it. Uncle Joe Biden: Killed it. Slick Willy: Course he ****ing killed it.

And everybody is all excited to defend their ****show of a candidate! It's been fantastic to witness from very far away! Ohhhhhhh, Hillary is a complete crook just like the Clintons have always been, hence Trump. Ohhhhhhh Trump is a narcissistic racist not-so-business savvy pretending to be business savvy typical white male republican candidate piece of ****, hence Hillary!

I gotta say, if ever there was a time to have a drunk thread kicking around here, the time is now. And i'm not just saying that because I'm drunk. I don't htink.

I am chilling in PROVO, UTAH with my happy hour beer and pear. Why the pear? Because they cannot by law sell me just the beer. UTAH!

Amazingly no! I peared it with a 7.75% Belgian-style pale brewed in the one and only Beehive State. High abv beer is legal here, but it can only be served in bottles. Right now, I have oranged an orange with an 8% doppelbock from the same brewery.

Any of the fine American light beers should do. I recommend natty light.

Utah is funny. I tried to buy a tequila shot and a margarita in one place because I thought the cocktails were a bit weak. They sold me both but wouldn't serve one until I finished the other. I also got a lecture on the law.

Then we went to Salt Lake City and drank awesome and very strong beer served in large bottles. (Including wookie jack)

Got a bar open extra late here in Spain for the election results. Bunch of Americans are going. My moratorium on drunkenness is gonna end one way or another.
