You can also be banned for using an alt account to circumvent an existing ban, by the way.
just because you refused to read the law, you want to ban me?

i did my bit, i did the correct citation.

Quote:
California Gov. Jerry Brown signed the legislation last week.

The sponsor, Democratic state Sen. Scott Wiener, has argued adamantly that nobody is going to be criminally prosecuted for using the wrong pronoun.

It’s just more scare tactics by people who oppose all LGBT civil rights and protections,” he said in a statement last month.

But the language seemingly allows for the possibility, however remote.

The bill itself is aimed at protecting transgender and other LGBT individuals in hospitals, retirement homes and assisted living facilities. The bill would ensure those facilities accommodate transgender people and their needs, including letting them decide which gender-specific bathroom they prefer to use.

"It shall be unlawful for a long-term care facility or facility staff to take any of the following actions wholly or partially on the basis of a person’s actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) status," the bill reads.

Bill proposes punishment for not using preferred pronouns

Among the unlawful actions are “willfully and repeatedly” failing to use a transgender person’s “preferred name or pronouns” after he or she is “clearly informed of the preferred name or pronouns.”

The law states that if provisions are violated, the violator could be punished by a fine “not to exceed one thousand dollars” or “by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed one year,” or both.
are you happy now? just read the bolded part if you do not have time.

I already explained why that cite does not support your claim and asked you to stop posting about it unless you can provide a supportive citation (hint: you wont be able to). Reported.

Now you are on to California. Is that a law? If not, it does not support your claim. If it is, please provide a citation.

I would say this is the time to get out, and preferably as soon as warning signs appear that consensus results are not being honored. I don't think this is a realistic scenario anytime soon despite how much many of you think it is. Trump would have conceded the election if he lost, republicans will be conceding the 2018 midterms. Stay strong.

That being said I think it is only prudent to make sure your passport is not expired at all times, and to take things to the extreme, everyone should probably be trying to attain dual-citizenship from an early age as an emergency back-up plan, if not for yourselves then for your children. I am not doing this but will wish I had the choice if ever needed. I don't even know what countries this would be a realistic option for and fortunately, I don't think this will be needed in my lifetime. Unfortunately, it is not easy to obtain citizenship in places like the EU, and if things ever got really bad who knows if they would continue to honor our passports? You cannot assume things like 90-180 day visas will continue to be honored by other countries if things ever get really bad.

This too shall pass. I wondered how we would survive the divided 68-72 era, George W. but we did.

A new President can undo everything Trump has done with regulations, we can correct the tax giveaway to the rich and corporations.

If he is defeated soundly, it will send a message to everyone that we realized it was a mistake to vote for Archie Bunker as president.

did anyone else notice Max Cut's posts are at quad 7's? Seems lucky.

LOL at GTFO of the best country in the world. Most people would give their left nut to live here.

Reminds me of the Monty Python's 'Run Away' sketch.

If our forefathers thought like that we would all still be British subjects speaking German right now.

I dont think completely ignoring the mid terms is on the table. However some combination of the below is highly likely.

1. Increased russian interference. With or without tacit GOP support.
2. Politically motivated investigations/prosecutions of democrats using the tools of the state.
3. Significant state sponsored voter suppression.
4. Use of the state to tip a small number of vote/close elections to the GOP

Less likely.

5. Outright vote rigging in a small number of key area

If there is any GOP vote-rigging, it will be more than offset by all the illegal aliens voting for the Dems.

Good point. I had forgotten that Archie Bunker was a highly successful businessman and TV personality.

edit: I also had forgotten that Archie Bunker was a best-selling author just like Donald Trump.

To be technically accurate (not that most of the people posting in the politics forum care about accuracy), the United States has 22% of the world's known prison population. Some countries like North Korea don't tell the world how many people they have incarcerated, and some human rights organizations question the legitimacy of prison numbers published by repressive regimes like Iran and China.

Having said that, I personally believe that we have way too many people in prison. With the exception of extremely violent persons like murderers and rapists, I don't think that incarceration is the most +EV way of dealing with lawbreakers.

get arrested in Mexico, or any other South American, Chinese, Russian or Asian country, and let me know the conditions.

American prison is like a hotel compared to most other countries. Guy told me jail in Thailand was a chain link cage on a concrete slab with a ditch running up the middle.

After 60+ years here in the US, never been arrested or jailed. Easy game.

Surely some of the Northern European countries and Canada have certain advantages over the US.

Move there. More beer for me.

Is it true that only conservatives get banned for not citing sources?
02-09-2018 , 06:27 PM
No, but it probably happens more often due to the relative amount of **** spew. Turns out alternative facts can be hard to cite properly.

Thank you so very much for doing everything you can to ruin the country for later generations. We all sincerely appreciate your total abnegation of any responsibility in your myopic and mean spirited pursuit of short-sighted selfishness.

I'll admit to being a RWNJ, but technically I'm mentally challenged, not ******ed. Please use the "politically correct" lingo.

I'm an illegal alien.

I'm going to expose myself to the government by presenting a fake ID at a polling station, waiting in line with my piss poor English, to cast my marginal vote for somebody who might eventually help me, marginally, with amnesty.

That, or I could stay under the radar and avoid the public zone swarming with politically engaged natives.

Right? Most natural born Americans don’t vote.

Cover up on the ms-13 face tat, drink on the Soros funded bus to the polling station, vote dem, mow down a couple of pedestrians on your way to the border to catch a sack of drugs heaved over the fence, go clock in at the stolen job, take your kid to the emergency room for free healthcare so they can someday take a spot in law school to become a judge, and call it a day.
