As far as activism, being active and out there is great. But simply being informed, taking to less informed people who know you and (to one degree or another, trust and respect you), and exhibiting concern with engagement and public affairs does significant work. Even if only 1 in 10 people you know is affected, that's quite significant across the entire country. I mean I'd love, in the abstract, to pull up shop and help defend immigrants in asylum hearings or what have you, but even doing nothing is not doing nothing if you have some influence on those around you.

I might be able to hook you up. I know an immigration atty who had a baby recently and went part-time working mostly at home. They may need someone new at the office.

Thanks, but my interest is definitely only "in the abstract". I have my own areas of expertise, don't speak any Spanish, and am plenty busy with existing matters (compounded by all the time I waste attending to the Trump dumpster fire).
