I find UK politics in some ways sadder than US. The latter is currently scarier, much, but there's a clear good guy to root for. In the UK I'm rooting for a massive Lib Dem resurgence (unlikely in the short run) or a third party combining Lib Dems, a bunch of current Labour and some Tories, which I think is unlikely, and then for that party to succeed electorally, which sadly I find even unlikelier.

(Labour replacing their piece of **** idiot leader would be good too but I think in current circumstances he'd be replaced with someone unpalatable, although I'd *probably* prefer that party over Tories h2h).

Film on channel 4 last night about the Ballymurphy massacre, where 11 people lay dead and **** knows how many injured at the hands of Brit state death squads (otherwise know as the paras) after 3 days of slaughter.

The poor bastards are still waiting on a inquest 47 years later. That's British politics in a nutshell where we are concerned.....we have never mattered to the ****s.

Film is a must see and has been released across the UK in cinemas also.

Film is a reminder why nobody should ever give the likes of marine A any benefit of the doubt because he serves a murderous regime voluntarily. Rotten bastards one and all.

I was always bemused at the level of support shown for Blackman/Marine A, he clearly executed a prisoner while seemingly gloating then readily stated he broke the Geneva convention.

Nah it was least surprising thing ever that they came out in support of one of their own (murdering bastards) boys.

Standard procedure for the brit state murder machine.

You know only 4 were ever prosecuted here for their murders? None served full sentence and all 4 were taken back into the army, some even got promoted. All had full support from all shades of ****e.

What's your opinion on the IRA Martymc1?
09-11-2018 , 06:48 AM
They were prosecuted to the fullest for their crimes.

Can we say the same for state forces? Not a ****ing chance, ffs most of their offences went uninvestigated nevermind getting prosecuted for them.

I should ask you btw, what's your opinion of 'our boys'?

Lol don't bother.

Maybe you could address the post about the Ballymurphy massacre or either of the links I posted.

I've not watched the doc or heard about the incident tbh, but I will watch it and I'm sure I'll be outraged by it, like i was when I watched my first documentary about bloody Sunday. Which I'm sure is about the only time I'll agree with a person like you.

That's a relief.
09-11-2018 , 06:42 PM
So what's your stance on the IRA?
09-12-2018 , 02:22 AM
Because I mentioned about the murdering brit army bastards I'm supposed to have an opinion on the IRA and I've to share it with you on demand.

How about gfy.

I notice you've not posted a word about the murdering bastards receiving support from high and low in their campaigns to avoid justice, would be a good place to start imo.

You want my opinion about this? How about gfy?

My opinion on any soldier that has killed unarmed civilians is that they should be doing life in prison. I think I made that obvious when I answered your first question about Ballymurphy. I don't blame you for not wanting to answer that question. Do you support Corbyn btw?
09-12-2018 , 03:31 PM
I don't support any politician, especially not a British politician.

My opinion on the IRA (which I've posted more than once here) is irrelevant and this is a superb deflection. Well done.

I've nothing to hide, go search for yourself.

09-13-2018 , 12:18 PM
make it permanent
09-13-2018 , 01:10 PM
need tomj's opinion on these two russian lads with several known aliases who were CCTVd outside the skripals place on the day of the attack, and who went directly from the skripal residence to heathrow airport in order to GTFO

Yeah but we invaded Iraq so 15 years later we definitely faked it.

The thing about all this is that it's so utterly amateurish. To fly in together from Russia on Russian passports, come on guys!

I know that's probably part of the beauty of the thing. Firstly it puts the wind up anyone else looking to double cross the damn ruskies. Secondly it makes conspiracy theory-ing it all really easy, just for the lols and the deniability. But still, as a fan of John le Carré and all that it does rankle. No way you'd get Smiley calling in a hit like this.

I was pretty disappointed considering I'd binge watched The Americans only a few short weeks before.

Even the double bluff line of reasoning doesn't really work here because if we (or another actor) were likely to have faked it, we'd have made it much more subtle.

Occam's razor: it's Russia and they wanted everyone to know it was them.

Domestically this plays well for Putin, making it obvious they done it but also won't be pushed around by 'the West'. The timing of the interview probably isn't coincidental either given the anger about his pension reforms. It'll enhance his image.
