Keep in mind the anime Nazis, from what I've seen(and I'm limited by extreme ignorance) don't seem to be fans of like, mainstream anime. At least not any of the anime that comes across my normie nerd media consumption(like on Adult Swim and ****). It's not the Studio Ghibli stuff, it's not the giant robot stuff like Neon Genesis Evangelion, it's not Attack on Titan or Cowboy Bebop or Ghost in the Shell.

It's **** without that mainstream culture crossover appeal, and I assume that part of why they like that is exactly because it DOESN'T have that crossover. Nerd **** has become so normal now that liking Star Trek and comic books is bro-acceptable, so they've retreated to even weirder stuff to maintain the outcast mythos.

I'm sure you know this is way too far into the weeds for people supporting putting a prominent statue of Robert E. Lee in the middle of a city he had nothing to do with. Everyone I know that lives here wants them ASAP both for obvious historical correction reasons as well as to get all these dumb **** protesters back out of town.

Sort of. I think normal nerd stuff like Star Trek and non-pervy anime and internet poker have their own dedicated websites dorks can hang out, so their fans don't have to congregate at 4chan or skeevy subreddits. It's not that the Nazis are seeking out obscure anime because of some active rejection of mainstream society, it's more because that the super-creepy anime guys and furries are the ones who happen to be sitting at their table bc the other lunch tables kicked them out.

I was a pretty smart kid at those ages but on 'big issues' that I had no information or context for, I'm very sure I just believed whatever my parents told me

I posted the story above about the middle schoolers with MAGA hats and shirts, that was a little freaky. But I just saw a tweet that made me equally nauseous, Tom Periello posting this tweet

It's ****ing Saturday. I'm sure some portion of kids are informed and want to be active, but I can't imagine that most would be out there without the parents pushing them. Or maybe I'm dead wrong. Thoughts?
I didn't really know anything about Bernie until my youngest kid (I think she was 13 at the time) became a fan. My oldest kid's choir had a mock vote and it was 100% for Bernie and we're in a relatively conservative area for California. I expect adults go Hillary > Trump > Bernie here.

If you zoom in, you can see each torch is actually a burning cross.
05-14-2017 , 01:54 PM
removing trump isn't gonna stop those torchers :/

Damn lizard brained morons haven't gotten over the fascination of fire on a stick.

Chants of "blood and soil" broke out just after 9 PM. The German-originated expression, popularized in the Nazi era, refers to an ideology of "ethnic purity" based on blood descent and territory.

After about ten minutes of activity, Charlottesville police intervened, and the crowd extinguished their torches and dispersed.
What kind of Nazis just up and leave politely?

The all got boners when the cops arrived.

The beatdown ritual thing is largely a myth and I think that makes the slapfight even funnier.

I'd wager 90+ percent of people protesting the removal of these statues even know the history of those statues.

JFC, why did I go look at the youtube comments for that video?
