I don't go around looking for white nationalist propaganda and don't hang around those types in real life. So I don't know all the initialisms, hand signals, tattoos, and quotations that people use to justify their hatred. This was the first time I saw it in that context.

It started as a prank to convince stupid libruls that the OK sign was a $ecret White Power message and has evolved into being used unironically as an alt-right symbol. The extent to which you think it's a white nationalism symbol is predicated on the extent to which you think the alt-right are inseparable from white nationalism. It's much like Pepe in all these regards.

When I was in school there was a phase where people would flash the “OK” symbol and try to trick their peers into looking at it by mistake. If you were caught looking at it they would beat you senseless. Those were fun times.

If you got caught looking at it you received a charlie horse that for some reason you wiped off after from what I remember. Usually didn't happen unless both people were aware of the game. I never saw random people getting hit. Maybe bullies did it. It was a dumb thing among all my friends though.

This is like the 3rd thread where people are trying to retcon the ok hand symbol. Is it really surprising that the same white douchebag kids in the 80s-90s who used it to harass and assault their peers are now incorporating it as a white power sign? We don't need a complete historical analysis of the swastika to know that anyone purposefully displaying it is a piece of **** that deserves to be fed to the dogs.
