Two things here. First of all, a ****ing lawyer said, "Your staff is speaking Spanish to customers when they should be speaking English... This is America."

A lawyer thinks there's some sort of law or policy that requires people to conduct business in English???? Did this clown go to Cooley with Michael Cohen?

Secondly, he said, "If they have the balls to come here and live off of my money, I pay for their welfare, I pay for their ability to be here, so the least they can do is speak English."

This is a great example of some of the bull**** we have to deal with as a society because of Fox News and the right-wing media derposphere.

This racist guy believes that illegal immigrants are getting welfare without paying into the system. The only thing they really get is education for their kids up through 12th grade. But, about half of illegal immigrants do pay taxes... So you might argue that THEY are paying for HIS welfare.

I've noticed in interactions with Trumpers that almost every one of them falls back on this one: "Illegal immigrants are a drain on our country because they get Medicaid, Social Security, food stamps, and subsidized housing without paying any taxes. I'm paying for their welfare!!!!"

It's total bull****, and I have a feeling if some of these *******s knew it... some, not all... They might think differently about illegal immigration - because it really isn't hurting their wallet. I would bet that a lot of them are amplifying their racism because of their perceived financial loss.

Also, I love that in both the coffee shop video and the video of the lawyer clown's tirade, bystanders stood up for what's right. Maybe it's because it was in LA and NYC, but either way, we need more bystanders to speak out, and go right in on the racists when they spew their hatred in public.

What I want to know is how the hell this guy works in midtown Manhattan and has never heard people speaking a non-English language to customers before. Or is this just what he does every lunch break?

His "Recent Achievements" page is a real treasure too. Guy says he specializes in business and commercial law, but his achievements are all nickel and dime cases where he achieved minor procedural victories. Like - "got the court to allow us to conduct discovery", "our complaint survived a motion to dismiss", "vacated a foreclosure", "got the court to issue a judgment against a tenant who didn't pay rent". This is stuff that happens literally every day and is not an achievement in any way.
