I mean, I would argue that there is a profound difference between awaiting an apocalypse, should it happen in one's lifetime, and actively trying to bring it about.

Oh don't get me wrong, I find a mainstream Catholic far more decent than Bannon and I genuinely appreciate Pope Francis's efforts to liberalize. And I appreciate the difference between being an agent of the apocalypse rather than merely anticipating it.

Still: I just thought the way the priest communicated his criticism of Bannon ('mystical apoclyptical worldview') was deeply ironic since you know, mystical prophecies of the end times and their spiritual meaning to humanity seems like it should be very understandable to a Christian.

Painful to watch that, but the kid handled it much better than the 17 y/o me would have. I guess there wasn't an adult near enough to step in and handle it, but either way I expect he'll get his due thanks to the magic of the Internet.
