But you do you - state the opposite of reality and just keep doubling down.

It's slow, it took over 8 seconds to load the last page according to Chrome. But this entire website is slow, it took over 3 seconds to load the December low content thread for me and that's only three pages. So people saying they don't notice it just means the whole site's slow and the perceived difference between 3 seconds and 8 seconds isn't really that meaningful. Refreshing this page took almost 2 seconds before anything shows up, it's just a super unoptimized site

1. Sometimes, seems like 10-15 sec
2. basic skin, 100 ppp
3. Chrome
4. Win 10 desktop i7, SSD, broadband

100 ppp may be the culprit. tested an 85 post thread, took like 4 secs to load. Trump thread takes like 10-15.

Edit: just loaded page 1 of Trump thread and took like 7 secs (pretty good for 100 ppp). 2p2 site seems to lag more during busy times. Right now, 11:30pm pst on sun, should be close to peak performance.

There have been times that 2p2 lags noticeably, but not in the last 4 weeks for me.

That said, I'd support a new Trump thread for 2019 as a precautionary measure and to encourage participation.

Maybe you can make a pole thread Suzzer?

Is there a good reason to keep it one thread? If some users are negatively affected why not accommodate them?

I don't have problems. It's set at 100 posts. My internet speed says

73.5
Mbps download

Your Internet speed is very fast
Your Internet connection should be able to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing, and gaming at the same time.

It’s slow, but every big thread on the site is slow. The FACK takes even longer to load than the Trump thread.

I don’t see the need to split it for now. Maybe (god forbid) revisit in 2020.

1. Definitely loads slower than others. I open it in a new tab and it will say "Loading" with the little circle for 5-10 seconds usually before it changes to "presidency of donald j trump" and the posts appear. Once the posts start appearing it's pretty quick and probably not slower than other threads with embedded tweets and images.

2. I have no idea what this means. I have the dark theme selected on the website but I'm not using a third party site to view it.

3. Chrome

4. Mac - I view it on tapatalk on my iphone, but not sure if that also loads slowly.

Until today, I never had problems. Now that thread doesn't even load. It just freezes halfway through and I get a message saying the website is not responding. I had to change to 40 posts per page in order for it to load correctly.
