So take out loans now since they'll be easier to repay later? Or vice versa?

Your guys hatred for Trump is really blinding you guys badly. Do you honestly think the republicans are going to let trump just start destroying every aspect of America? He is going to be their puppet now. The republicans are going to get some things done, may not agree with what you would like to see but we endured 8 years of Obama and didn't agree with everything he did. America isnt going to get destroyed, the economy is not going to get destroyed, etc etc. Trump will be under close watch

Re: Trump Presidency Predictions Thread

To expand a bit more on why I think Trump would lose a bid for re-election. Just like Obama in 2008, a large group of people view Trump as their savior. The groups themselves are different, for Obama it was mainly minorities, whereas for Trump it's mainly lower class whites, but I don't think that's gonna make a big difference. In both cases, these loyal groups will notice that their day-to-day lives aren't significantly improved by the president, which will cause them to turn against them.

In 2008 Obama got 3.5 million more votes than he got in 2012, whereas Romney only got 1 million more votes than McCain, indicating that most of the disappointed voters stayed home. The big difference between Obama in 2008 and Trump in 2016 is, that Obama had a comfortable lead (+9.5 million) whereas Trump lost the popular vote. There is no conceivable scenario in which Trump loses 3.5 million votes in 2020 but still claims the presidency.

Actually it's the other way around, they are going to be his puppet. Trump's version of conservatism has the clear mandate from the electorate and theirs is on the way out, if they deny him anything no matter how crazy he will appeal to his base and accuse them of obstructing MAGA.

Re: Trump Presidency Predictions Thread

Republicans couldn't even stop Trump from gaining the nomination. Many Republicans who first repudiated Trump (Cruz, etc) lent him their support once their own selection was on the line. Mainstream.Republicans can't even control the tea party contingent for 8 years. Lol at keeping Trump a puppet.

Only hope is Trump does a 180 from his campaign promises.

You are going to support and justify every horrible thing he does. The rest of the Republicans will do whatever he wants because they're justifiably afraid of losing your vote. You happily marched a demagogue into office and you're going to blindly follow him wherever he decides to go. That is exactly what you wanted.

Don't give me some bull**** story about how he won't do the things he promised. His supporters believed him. His ego needs their approval. He will do everything he can to deliver on his promises. You're going to get exactly what you voted for.

What are the odds we could trick trump into giving us single payer? You know, that thing HRC failed at giving us. It'd be another thing he did that she couldn't do. #Winning

No chance. Trump has never been in politics. He wont have any idea how to get anything done without his help. He is going to be relying on them. Hes going to compromise with them alot.

Or completely and fecklessly roll over to the GOP like he already did less than twelve hours after winning the presidency re: draining the swamp?

Sure that will happen but you're dead wrong in thinking they somehow hold the reins in this deal. He has all the leverage now, when push comes to shove.

Baaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

He already lost one of his legislative proposals to the iron fiat of McConnell, and he hadn't even been president elect for twelve hours yet!

Exactly. He'll be compromising and conciliatory up until the moment his main supporters turn on him because what they voted for hasn't been realized.

Rates are going up in my opinion. He is looking at a massive stimulus which should lead to higher growth and rates.

Like, the average Republican voter that just pulled the lever for Trump? The average Republican voter that nominated him over every single establishment politician who ran?

Dude, you have the cycle backwards here. If the GOP legislature doesn't cooperate with what Trump wants, they go home to angry voters who will choose Trump over the congresscritter. Voters didn't just choose Trump at the polls because they want the congressmen they voted for in the same election to keep his power checked, or else why the **** did they nominate him?

When he won the primaries what exactly did you want them to do? Unlike Democrats, our party did not rig the damn election against a candidate. Republicans did what they needed to in the end. They got behind Trump. Sorry your party was a giant screw up from day 1 of the primaries
