Remodel the WH bec it's like living in Motel 6 compared to what he's got now. Epic would be an attempt to put a 'TRUMP WHITE HOUSE' sign on the roof but he'll prob have to settle for a post-it note in a closet.

Re: Trump Presidency Predictions Thread

Prediction one: All the worst case things people talk about won't happen. Gay marriage is safe. Unemployment isn't going to triple. Any trade war will be mild.

Prediction two: Republicans will enact the ryan agenda and that is ****ING TERRIFYING

1) Massive tax bill before 2018
2) Massive government spending cut bill (maybe in the same as the above). Entitlements on the table.
3) An unnecessary and expensive wall, but whatever
4) keystone approved
5) court is back to conservative with swing until RGB dies
6) tpp dead
7) obamacare rolled most of the way back
8) charter school type **** isn't coming until after 2018

Re: President-elect Trump prediction thread - whats he gonna do now??

Have been trying to think about this for the past couple of months (as much as I can stomach at least) and I think we are in for some awful stuff. Lots of executive muscles that can be flexed. Don't know if anyone saw this article a few months ago:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mark-k..._11402038.html

Really time to start thinking about what counter-revolution means, and how good we have had it.

Re: President-elect Trump prediction thread - whats he gonna do now??

1. When he learns that he cant just order people to do the things he wants, he becomes agitated and distracted. Trump becomes involved in a bunch of trivial spats with other foreign leaders and members of congress when he feels slighted.

2. Trump has no desire for all the endless presidential posturing. He breaks record for vacation time.

3. He gets involved in spats with the media when he is criticized.

Wall with moat full of sharks with lazers on the southern border and east coast to protect against Mexicans and Muslim terrorist swimmers and boaters.

Agree. Ryan will want to cool the jets but don't think he will be able to. Donald loves debt and here it comes.

Trump will get bored with being President within a month and go off to play golf and chase women. Presidential decisions will be made by the corrupt bureaucrats and politicians that gullible voters hated. It will be similar to George Bush's presidency.

Yeah, he's really going to have to twist some arms to get them to slash tax rates.

I doubt Trump says or does much regarding Hillary now, really don't see what he has to gain from that.

From now on every ****ty thing that will happen (and A LOT of ****ty things will happen) is going to be blamed on the liberals/left wing/obama/hillary/the media/SCOTUS.

After 4 years of every prediction that you can come up with, Trump will get reelected on a platform of being MORE TRUMP. Explaining that he was held back by leftist or liberals or moderate republicans.

It will take a whole lot longer than you think for the "left" to get back in power, even though things will get much worse in every aspect of life.
Really hope you aren't the cop that trys to talk jumpers down from the ledge

Re: Trump Presidency Predictions Thread

The white nationalist movement won an incredible coup. They will now have the court for a generation, and their side is convinced that the only way the other can win is through fraud. They'll have a SCOTUS more amenable to even more objectionable forms of voter suppression than what is going on now. Depending on how many he gets I'm not sure the idea that any current precedent can't be overturned would folly. We are heading into some dangerous times.

To make matters worse none of the major parties seem to have a horse with a viable shot in 2020. The dems need a clean cut young white guy who doesn't talk down to Grandma.

I also predict his press conferences will be indistinguishable from comedy sketches before the end of the first term.

Re: President-elect Trump prediction thread - whats he gonna do now??

1 Increased military spending
2 Hard crackdown on immigration possibly deportation.
3 Massive tax decreases for big companies (how he is going to pay for this no clue).
4 Less state funding
5 Draconian cuts to snap and medicaid
6 Privatization of social security possible decrease in benefits pay
7 less stringent firearms laws
8 restoration of the wire act to make online gambling pretty much dead
9 doing away with affirmative action
10 appointing appropriate supreme court justices to repeal roe vs wade.

Republicans, including Trump, have been talking "repeal and replace" for a long time, with the dirty little secret being that they have no replacement or that their replacement is just Obamacare that makes less sense (no mandate). Now that it's time for them to face the music on that...well, I'm curious to see if they go through with it now that they actually own the consequences.

So, hypothetically speaking, If one were upper middle class (family income ~300k/yr) and has a high 6/low 7 figure inheritance coming sometime in the next few years Trump getting elected should be a good thing, right?

Trump will mostly be blamed initially, but some will point to his prescient comments about the market. However, the short of it is that people will rally behind Trump. Social security and Medicare will be affected substantially. Trump will eventually finger and take on the Fed through historic speeches. If he doesn't die like many before him who have challenged central banking, then he will curtail the system whereby the govt lends money from private banks instead of just printing it themselves. He will also invest heavily in infrastructure. These two things will lead to enormous American prosperity.

Trump will also make inner cities better, in terms of crime, education, and unemployment. He won't go after gay marriage, drugs, or abortion at a supreme court or federal level, with the exception that he may legalize all or a substantial class of drugs in his second term. ISIS will be defeated swiftly, and standstill relations between Russia will improve. America will no longer be involved in fighting in 7 countries as they are now. NATO will be renegotiated, or the current terms will be enforced better than they are now.

Healthcare outcomes re insurance will improve, but only a little. Education outcomes for K-8 will improve substantially. Race relations will be better, and people slowly over time will shift their opinion and applaud his "unifying" rhetoric. His success will merit a political dynasty, and he will easily win a second term, in part due to getting large numbers of the black and other minority votes. His opponent, who will not be a crony or corrupt, will be seen and labeled as ineffective, putting the country back into gridlock that we've worked hard to jostle it from, and that's what the race will be decided on (assuming he's alive of course.)

The biggest clue is the FBI. If the FBI finds the massive level of corruption in the Clinton Foundation and many people go down, then Trump is more likely to do better things. If only a couple people go down, then people are "playing ball" and it's more likely to be status quo.

People will claim their opposition was just politicking (or won't even recall having been staunchly opposed to Trump) and won't have to answer for their uninformed comments like "the world is doomed".

Yeah man. You win. Slightly lower taxes on that compared to a Hillary presidency is definitely going to pull you out of that pit of despair.

Yes, if everything is going great for you, and the future looks even brighter, then completely upsetting the status quo in an unpredictable way is a great idea. I am glad everybody though this through in advance.
