Huh? Oh you mean I don't just ramble and ramble day and night, like a mentally ill drunkard. Weird line of attack though.

The most important thing we can do right now is be 100% committed to becoming a better country. Many Americans are heart broken and many Americans are happy. Let’s let the emotions of both sides settle and focus on our future. Concentrate on things we can control… work ethic, attitude, faith etc. We all wear a lot of hats in today’s crazy life we live and the one I’m most proud of is being a father to two beautiful young daughters. At this time the only thing I can do for them is to continue to try my best to lead by example. I don’t know what it’s like to be born into wealth, nor I do I know what it’s like to be a career politician. I do know what it’s like to put in the hard work every day with my own two hands and earn my success from the sweat of my brow. That’s all I know and all I’ll continue to do. Lead by example. I encourage all of you to do the same. We got this. We’re Americans and we forever “Hold the line”

Harry Reid himself would agree. I don't see how you could argue that he was just trying to make a 'not a big deal' remark.

Reid was clearly trying to be as inflammatory as possible. Thats what the base wants to hear, and as a lame duck, he can say whatever he wants.

I was just ****ing around. It seems like the standard answer for getting rid of Medicare and other social safety nets is that the rich will just magically decide to donate to private charities that will take over for the government, even though that's never happened before and is why the safety nets are there in the first place.

I imagine that by the time Trump actually takes office the ALEC creeps will have a laundry list of stuff he could do from day one to further the cause of free markets and limited government (aka more money for rich people). I don't really know the extent of the executives power over labor and environmental regulations, but the people at ALEC do, and we can be pretty sure they have lots of smart people working on how much they can accomplish and how fast they can get it done.

Like, if you don't already have enough money saved to retire right now or you're not one of the principals at your company or you don't have some sort of profit sharing plan that puts a ton of money in your pocket, then you're in for a wild ride over the next few years. If you depend on social security or medicare, or you're planning on depending on them, then good luck.

It'll just be a restructuring that favors some over others.

Something like this: Everyone over 55 (the GOPs base more than ever), you keep everything and do not share in the sacrifice of austerity whatsoever.

under 55 either goes to private accounts or there is a gradually phased in benefit cut. So where the previous generation got something like 4-5% ROI on SS, someone that is 30 y/o today will get like 0-1% give or take.

Actually, if held to the standard of "as promised", none. The tax cut one is way too vague also as one man's tax cut may be another's increase. he has already caved on Obamacare. Isis is here to stay, just as all of the other smaller sects in the mid east. Think Taliban. Where is the wall going to be? This side of the Rio Grande so the ranchers can't use it? Honestly, I can not see any of these coming to fruition.

I don't know what he will do, but I am sure what ever it is, it will be bigly.

i'll predict that trump continues to be underestimated going forward, similar to how he was underestimated during both the primaries and throughout the election. he'll also continue his act of saying one thing one day and then saying something completely different a few days later.

It also isnt peaceful when you are literally blocking major highways preventing people from getting to work (happened very close to me last night on a road I travel weekly). That is negatively impacting peoples lives, that isnt peaceful

It's not Idiocracy. Judge is funny, but he doesn't get American pathology. Tracy Letts is the name you are looking for here. Now, that guy gets America. Also, Lee Daniels.

sometimes the voters want to break necks sometimes they don't. you win some you die some. life is like a box of chocolates that is empty someone else ate them. sometimes you eat the bear because that's how you survive hiding in the mountains, sometimes the bear eats you because it's a bear. a reality TV star is the president of the United States at its apex of global superiority. hell yes we're going to die.
