JP Morgan CEO for treasury secretary?

Thank goodness people voted against the corporatist Clinton!

So Trump's campaign was in contact with Russia during the whole campaign?

Shocking!

I'm guessing more collusion with Putin, hopefully not on how to be a ruthless dictator, but we'll see.

Trump already whitewashing his crazy promises from his website as he's getting shot down by Mitch in the senate.
No one is surprised by this. It was expected to happen

Sure, but aren't they savages? Don't be a savage.

How is protesting peacefully being a savage? Your arguments continue to lack any sort of logic.

Do you know what else BLM stands for?

Spoiler:
Bureau of Land Management

Can you guess where I'm going with this?

How much more time would you give them before unleashing the teargas and batons?

More than they should. It is literally giant temper tantrums

Nothing wrong with protesting. It's America.
11-10-2016 , 04:01 PM
They are protesting the results of a democratic election that was voted on by the American People that was won fair and square. This isnt protesting. This is being a whiny cry baby for not getting your way. You people probably believe in participation awards also. Grow up

Love the pearl-clutching over the protests, that's nice.

That said, don't really get the purpose of the protests, except to vent. So go on and vent, I suppose. Maybe it'll throw up some grass-roots organiser types who'll found networks to agitate in a meaningful sense and do some good work in '18. That's got to be like .05%, though.

Uninformed Canadian here. Are there any Hillary voters who think Trump completely drops the rhetoric he had while campaigning and tries to fulfill his role in a way that's um, Presidential?

Not a Hillary voter, but yeah, he'll most likely give that the old college try. The worry is how long that impulse lasts and how well it stands up to the adversity that simply comes with the POTUS gig.

I mean I haven't put a ton of thought into this, I'm sure one of the savvy regs around here could shred me on this, for liberty. But "Trumpers are just as bad" and "How dare you protest our heroic protesters you coward" don't cut it.

That ****'s weak, sad even.

It isn't hard to imagine him going full Putin. It is so easy to imagine him doing or saying something disastrous then trying to distract everyone with a war. I also think personal enrichment will be a top priority. And he will definitely stack the bureaucracy with incompetent loyalists.

Possibly the one saving grace is that trump is a huge ego-maniac.

Now, that could and likely will be easily abused, such as with crackdowns on freedom of speech like the trumpkins itt obviously support. But it could also mean that he isn't happy with leading a country into the toilet because he cares more about what people think about him than, say, tax cuts for the rich and beating minorities in the streets.

I'd give shredding you a shot, but I honestly don't know what you're saying.

1 scenario with maybe just a glimmer of hope is the now emboldened GOPe, pissing off Trump by again thinking they can steer him. I could see them resisting him on term limits for sure, and possibly on the wall. Then pissed off Trump refuses to be a rubber stamp for their bull****. I don't know how much of the gop bull**** he actually believes.

Hopefully he really believes the 'drain the swamp' because that's where they are really likely to fight him.

Not that any of this is likely, but I can hope.

Grunch:

my guess is that Trump gets bored within a few months and starts production on "The Apprentice: White House." The show will give an inside look on the White House and will revolve around various corporate bimbos that want their 15 seconds of fame fighting over positions on his cabinet.

Sometime around the conclusion of the first season, likely nuclear holocaust.

McConnell already saying no action on term limits and Ryan isn't going to want to sign on to an infrastructure bill that's not tied to slashing Medicare and SSI so this is definitely a scenario that's in play. Also Ryan is on the retribution list anyway so here's hoping.
