I am almost more worried about the Republicans in Congress than I am about Trump. We know what they want to destroy, and it is terrible.

True republicans reluctantly voted for him because thats what you are supposed to do. Support your partys nominee. Not rig it against someone to put whoever you want in. He got alot of the undecided voters out and a lot of pissed off Ds to vote for him as well. You guys are overlooking this

Well thats your opinion. Thats the difference. Ive never once called anyone a name here for disagreeing with me. However I've been attacked constantly with name calling. You are free to your opinion on what is going to be good or bad for the country just like I am free to mine as well. I however wont call you a racist bigot....

You aren't getting called racist for "disagreement." You are getting called racist for supporting a racist candidate for president.

I hope he was a little serious about "draining the swamp" when it comes to his families ethics. I can see the kids becoming huge hits on the speech/government favor tour.

This. As bad as it sounds, I think I prefer Trump to be the one holding the reigns.

He's been a scummy businessman his whole life, no chance he stops the grift.

Live on CNN right now is a Trump lackey saying yeah, sure, we're totally going to start torturing again. But I'm sure the House and Senate Republicans will prevent this from actually happening.

-Trump is impeached, and later convicted of statutory rape.

-Someone leaks his taxes and he is impeached, and later convicted for committing one of the largest tax frauds in US history.

-More audio and video is released of him doing or saying heinous ****.

This has me worried. I think he might be rich enough and more worried about being admired but if he and the family want to cash in it's easy enough.

I am more ok with financial corruption than egomaniacal dictatorship.

I agree. I am honestly pretty terrified of the religious right nut jobs.

The house did pass a bill a few years back that would have been the first step towards getting rid of time and a half overtime. Trump, of course, is someone who has always been super rich and has never had to work for a wage, so I can see him going along with that kind of stuff. Basically, I expect a lot of labor regulations to be rolled back, so if you're working for someone, just expect to work longer hours for less pay and benefits and then to lose a lot of your protections on top of that.

Hope you weren't counting on Medicare or Social Security. If you're young enough better save up a few $million to support your parents if they get sick.

They would have rigged the **** out of it to stop Trump if they saw him coming. By the time they realized he was actually a threat it was way too late. Every year they let a few joke candidates in like Carson, Bachmann, Trump to spice things up. The joke just got out of hand this time. I suspect the next time around joke candidates will have a much tougher time getting on stage.

Lol at the voter suppression party not trying to rig the primary for their own candidate. They're just incompetent at it.

This sums up my current thinking

He'll make deals with them so he gets all the terrible stuff he wants, and so do they.

As long as we stick it to minorities worse. Small price to pay.

Looking forward to Trump blowing up the establishment by filling his cabinet with establishment politicians.

Grunching but has anyone noted we have built an unprecedented surveillance and national security apparatus with like almost no judicial or legislative restraints? That seems a bit short sighted now. Can Obama dismantle the NSA by executive order before Trump moves in?
