Wisconsin high school forced to end "Big Boobie", "Big Booty", and "String Bean" awards for cheerleaders

Conservatives: "why do liberals have to ruin all the fun???"

Bonus: there was an investigation into this last year and the school admin was like "idk what the problem is here"

Quote:
Knecht [the principal], after receiving complaints from “four different people,” launched an investigation. Despite video recordings of the banquet, Knecht reported “he could find no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the coaches” and said he thought the coaches were “just joking around,” according to the ACLU report.

Is this the proper thread for all of us to laugh at Robert Kraft?

Obviously the burden here is on the female comedian to take every statement a male comedian says seriously and respond accordingly.

And of course it's only one step from that to "Well they didn't say no fast enough."
Even if they say yes, it's not necessarily consent. If your boss tells you "Suck my dick or you're fired," and you say OK and do it, that's still illegal.

I'm not sure there's an improper thread for that.

Hey, not only are the patriots a bunch of cheaters but their owner is a super scumbag as well.

And since this was a human trafficking operation, its also pretty likely he was committing pedophilic acts too.

What a great country.

The first few episodes in S2's You're The Worst after the improv group is introduced touches a ton on the sexual harrassment that female comedians face trying to be part of the boys club of comedy. It was almost certainly what you imply in the first sentence.

If you believe one is worse than the other, you are not woke, man. Just not woke. There are no degree or nuance with his superior moral code, its okay unless it was a powerful successful privileged person.

Gb- he didnt mean to equivocate the smirking maga kid and the black Israelite's conduct- that would not fit his narrative. But man, that Eric Weinstein guy Juan mentioned three months ago..... he is the worst!
This is quite possibly one of the worst takes ever posted on this board.

Thats amazing.

YESSSSSSS

Your brain:

Quote:
Later that day, the New York Times published allegations of sexual harassment against C.K. by five women.[122]

These included comedy duo Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov, who said that they had been invited to C.K.'s hotel room during the US Comedy Arts Festival in 2002, where he had asked permission to masturbate in front of them, then proceeded to ejaculate on his stomach before receiving an answer.[122] Comedian Abby Schachner said that, during a 2003 phone call, C.K. had complimented her appearance and then audibly started to masturbate.[122] Comedian Rebecca Corry described how, on the set of a television pilot in 2005, C.K. had asked for permission to accompany her to a dressing room so that he could masturbate in front of her.[122] Corry and Schachner both added that they had received apologies in some form after several years.[123]

C.K. publicly acknowledged the veracity of the allegations the day after the article's release.[124] His statement admitted to behavior that he initially thought "was O.K. because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first," and went on to express remorse for abusing his power in the industry "which disabled them from sharing their story and brought hardship to them when they tried."[125]

"exaggerated"
"without proof"
"two women"
"consent was admitted"

I want to frame this post and hang it on a wall

Fascinated by the mindset of posters who feel the need to jump in and defend every accused [presumably white] rapist. Also “fake crimes are worse than real ones” feels innovative and spicy but it will likely be mainstream Republican messaging by 2020 if it isn’t already.

You read the post, right? Are you saying there has been anything more worthwhile lately? I agree with Goof, that **** was amazing.

I've been mildly boycotting Kraft foods for a while now.

It started when they moved their mustard processing plant out of Canada

Weird, I had heard that the Kraft thing exploded in a massage parlor in FL somewhere.

So what is it about the video or his story that makes it seem fake? A lot of comments are saying "yeah you could tell he was lying and Robin Roberts seems really uncomfortable" but just watching this for the first time and if you pretend that you don't know he's making it all up I would never have come to that conclusion on my own.

I mean the details of the story are pretty sketchy: two homophobic maga supporters wearing ski masks at 2am at a subway recognized him as the Empire guy, and had a rope and bleach with them. And then he kept the rope on until the police came. And he was all over the place emotionally during the interview. Crying and angry at times, joking at other times. But I don't know if that's normal for him or for assault victims in general. But again, if it hadn't come out that the whole thing was faked I wouldn't have immediately thought "oh yeah he's faking it. what a faker. look at those crocodile tears"

Steele’s comments came after Coast Guard Lt. Christopher Paul Hasson was accused by federal prosecutors of stockpiling weapons and creating a hit list of prominent journalists and left-wing politicians.

The president remarked on the news Friday, calling it a “shame.”

"I think it’s a very sad thing when a thing like that happens,” Trump said when asked about the case.

Asked whether his rhetoric was partly to blame for attacks aimed at journalists, Trump said "No, I don't."

“I think my language is very nice,” he added.

Steele, frequent critic of the president and today's Republican Party, slammed the president for not speaking out more strongly against Hasson.

“These are his people,” he said. “And he’s not going to thank law enforcement because he’s probably not happy about what law enforcement did.”

Yeah it's mostly the details. I checked in on this thread on chiefsplanet when the Nigerian guys were arrested. CP was instantly on to the fact that the Nigerians were immediately released - which means they probably rolled. Those ****ers can actually be really smart when they want to, then sooooooo dumb when you try to explain **** like the motives behind voter ID laws.

I'm so pissed their broken clocks got a chance to be right on this one. Because that's literally all it takes to counteract every claim of hate attack for the next 10 years in their minds.

One thing I think humans are really bad at processing is massive severity or frequency discrepancies - at least when they're motivated to be biased of course. Sometimes you can almost pin them down on something - then a false equivalence of vanishingly rare frequency, or orders of magnitude less severity comes out - and boom - all square both sides do it too mannn.

I know I'll get heat for this but I still believe most of the posters on chiefsplanet at least try to convince themselves they're in the right. IE they aren't just white supremacist trolls (goofy just take a pass on this one please). You can almost pin them down on something and you can feel them wriggling - until some little lifeline comes along like this and then boom - forget it forever basically. Issue solved - all hate crimes are bull****.

Just like the Congressional shooter card, the Smollet card will be good for a decade+ with basically limitless plays in all situations.

This isn't really a probability thing, it's ambiguity intolerance, which is closely related to cognitive dissonance. Conservatives don't like it when things are shades of gray, it's an uncomfortable mental state. It's tied up with the enthusiasm for authority and religion and so on, structures which provide definite answers to complex questions. That's why they so often switch from one position to its opposite without apparently going through any intermediate stages. You would think that there would be steps in between "yay laissez-faire capitalism, economics 101" and "trade war!", or between "Iraq was the right decision" and "Iraq was a stupid disaster", or between "Mueller is an American hero" and "Mueller is a traitorous Democrat". Etc etc. The idea that globalization, or Iraq, or Mueller, might actually be some combination of good and bad is too uncomfortable, there's no certainty there. Lack of certainty is lack of security, lack of security is fear. Fear is the cornerstone of conservative thought.

So yeah, it's motivated reasoning to suddenly be like "hate crimes are fake news" but it also reflects the aversion to having a complex view of anything.

They aren’t trying to convince themselves, they have to think they are right in order to be the hero in their story. No one thinks they are the bad guy in their story.
