This is a wise point. My late father-in-law had cancer. He survived much longer than expected, but obviously he was in poor physical condition as a result. He didn't get out and about that much, but he was able to do so a bit early on. He had a handicapped parking tag on his mirror.


One day on a trip to the store with his wife, someone yelled at him for not being handicapped and parking in a marked space. It was just because he didn't use a walker or cane or wheelchair at the time, so he didn't "look" handicapped. Nevermind that it was a struggle to walk through the parking lot.


****, I had a couple hip problems a few years ago and probably could've gotten a handicapped tag. The doctor required me to use crutches while the problem resolved itself, but I didn't need them to walk beyond the early stages of my issue.

There was a neo-nazi presence at the Phish shows at the Gorge last weekend. During the show 2 people of color got their heads smashed in by rocks all in different places of the venue and ended up in the medical tents within minutes of each other. One has had to have surgery to relieve pressure in his head since. I don't think it's 100% confirmed that they caused this but seems likely. No news on it at all yet.
