The night ended in demeaning fashion, the diners claimed: with officers standing at the door, checking receipts before they let any of the black women leave the establishment.

And this is not the first time this fine company has been in the news for all the wrong reasons

It was so hard, even with Dem majorities to get the ACA passed. He took a lot of heat from all sides about "rookie mistake, he should have fixed the economy first and done healthcare second". The ACA is a needed step on the way to Medicare for all. Look at the other party--tax cuts for the rich and oops no money for medicaid. It was exceedingly hard to get a new entitlement--that's a major accomplishment.

What Obama needed to do before getting single payer was to do something about money in politics. That has to happen before the private health insurance industry is going to get cut out of health care.

Didn't appear to just happen in that the guy was arrested Sunday morning but it was only reported Sunday afternoon.

But yeah. Christ that's ****ed up. Somehow he's not charged with attempted murder.

I lived in that apartment complex ~15 years ago.

You could routinely smell the refugees cooking their funky (to my nose) food. There were a few transients, I moved asap bc of them. The foreigners were always super nice and very, very humble.

There was actually an issue one time where a transient hit on my (now ex) wife.

She was bothered I didn't confront him. I told her "I don't know if he has a knife or what, and he didn't do anything illegal." She understood, but still thought less of me.
