I often struggled when my full support for marijuana legalization bumps up against my contempt for doofus potheads.

yea some of those people are just the worst. lazy, conspiracy-minded, just totally delusional

in fairness, the same could be said about virtually any american demographic

They don't need weed to be doofuses.

Thank God for weed as far as the doofus I mented who feeds it to his cat goes. Pretty close to a lock he'd be in prison (again) or dead if he didn't have it or something else that does what it does for him.

Trump voters and the average trumpkin should not be subject to the same shame and ridicule as staff or cabinet members. We should not use the single fact of having voted for trump as morally equivalent to being on his staff or in his cabinet.

This needs to be better thought out but I think we want to resist the urge to lump all trumpkins together, not that I'm not guilty of this often!

My dog has epileptic type seizures after getting Lyme disease when she was a puppy and the other option from CBD is potassium bromide if she starts getting more seizures. That **** would make her lethargic, gain weight and other ****. CBD has seemed to minimize her seizures and she is still very active, hiking and camping with me all the time. Obviously not scientific and I don't need to give her the potassium bromide until she starts having seizures that might kill her but I'm happy for CBD.

Any translators?

Tell her that we're watching?

Tell her that we're going to go?

"Ya vio que acabamos." = "You saw that we finished."

Apparently the white lady is complaining about something going into other peoples yards. Maybe dust or something from some work they were doing? Guy's mom is just saying she has no more reason to complain, I guess.
06-26-2018 , 12:42 AM
There was the "diga le" part, no?
06-26-2018 , 12:58 AM
Yes, I think his mom wanted him to tell the lady that they were done bothering her so she had no more cause to be angry. It's kind of confused. Not complete sentences.

No, tell her she can see... Tell her... Tell her "you saw we finished." No. Tell her... no... tell her "you had..."

Best I can do.

Edit: Mom seems to know there's no point in arguing with the racist lady like her son was trying to do.

So I gotta do a mea culpa. I was a real ****head during the Obama years, failing to hold him up to higher standards and giving him excuse after excuse for what was clearly an intentional act of not giving a ****. He held kids in detention, too, and he even defended it, knowing the media would have his back because dems are after all, the "good guys" in the drama that is our political stage. Of course he wasn't as bad as Trump--I'm not saying that. Not even close. But he kept us in Iraq and Afghanistan, he kept Gitmo open, and he didn't lift a finger to pass card check or single payer or really anything of major consequence.

So I am going to have to post in this thread sins of America past. Sins that I didn't know about or purposefully turned away from at the time. Liberal America has some serious soul searching to do, and they have a lot of blood on their hands. I do, we all do. I voted for these people along with a lot of you guys.

As a start, check out this incredibly important thread on Obama's immigration policies from @ImmCivilRights:

Good VICE on ICE right now. ICE dude complaining that they weren't allowed to go after people who didn't commit any crime other than the border crossing.

A lot of bad stuff happened during the Obama admin sure, and he probably could have done better, but......maybe not.

TBH, I don't see any ****ing way how someone can post 15x a day on a touchy subject and start or maintain any degree of direction towards something new. I'm pretty sure that there is something out there outside of this habitual disaster that suits your fancy.

From the text, I assumed the woman speaking Spanish is the guy's mom, but a detail that bothers me is that she uses the formal dígale, which is odd if she's talking to her son.

Actually doing the 'right' thing may have meant we'd have actual concentration camps with gas chambers right now and the SS/ I mean ICE would be carrying out open executions of suspected immigrants. Sometimes you have to play the long game.
