While I agree with this, it's looking like Blackburn is gonna lose the Senate seat to a Dem, which I didn't think would happen in my lifetime.

Btw that race is one that the Dems need to look to for a national strategy. They are running out an incredibly popular former governor against a horrid, evil woman, and are running ten points ahead in one of the reddest states in the union.

Brian Kemp for Georgia Governor:

oh he's play threatening someone with guns, nice. before watching the video i imagined the younger man was his son, and his son would talk the whole time like, "my dad is running for governor. he believes this and this, he's a great man" all while the guy running for governor sits in the rocking chair cleaning his gun silently the whole time. that would have been a better video and he wouldn't have to pretend to threaten anyone

Dudes arrested at Starbucks settle for $2 + 200k to charity. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/b...ogram-54882092

That settlement is with the city.

Two black men arrested for sitting at a Philadelphia Starbucks without ordering anything settled with the world's biggest coffee-shop chain Wednesday for an undisclosed sum and an offer of a free college education.
Good. I was really struggling with what to think of a settlement where they get only $1/person for themselves.

I disagree

Every time I think America can’t be made any greater...

If individual Americans have the opportunity to help refugees stay, work and evade deportation they have a moral obligation to do it. That's especially clear if they fled countries reeling from decades of US orchestrated civil wars followed by decades of drug wars. Even if not though, just for humanitarian reasons.

Agreed, Savage is much worse. Savage is far more mean-spirited and vile. And I don't know who has more daily listeners, I imagine Savage is on a lot more radio stations than Jones.

Jones is just out there having fun:

Savage is just as much an act as Jones.

If I remember correctly Savage was spotted at a Uber elite eatery with his poodle on his lap.

Sarcasm? Ok, what is their reason for lying about it?

It's because he's black. Don't over think it.

If I did what that guy did and was told Trump was trying to contact me, I'd laugh and hang up the phone.
05-06-2018 , 04:40 AM
Is it common to receive a personal phone call for that? I'm sure it has happened before but I don't remember it being a regular occurrence. Calling somebody every time a mass shooting happens is a full time job.

They don’t have a case. Starbucks was perfectly within their rights to eject anyone. They do this literally everyday, and not exclusively (though more probably) to minorities.

The case against the cops is way stronger (though probably still dismissed/summary judged) in that the cops really didn’t need to cuff/arrest with seemingly the city’s entire police force.

You’re thinking too small.

Say. I am sorry, I thought I’d be talking to someone else, like Oprah or the Obamas. Then sell the tapes.

They didn't settle for less than the max because of whether or not they were likely to win at trial. And Starbucks doesn't have the right to throw people out because they are Black. Did the lunch counters in the South ever throw out white people? Were they perfectly within their rights to eject anyone?
