I'll give you a hint: a real, actual crime that occurred that appeared to have racial motivations and later turned out not to (but was not fabricated or orchestrated in any way) is not a hoax!

Inso0 - just because the links you posted labelled these instances as hoaxes doesn't make them so - they are as wrong as you are.

It's not nitpicking to point out that the actual meaning of words matters.

The links are all in the same vein as Smollet, and was in response to a post downplaying the frequency of people simply making **** up or committing "real crimes" with the intent of blaming someone else. I stand by it, but applaud your efforts to try and somehow secure the high road anyway.

Is this you walking back the links you ****ed up and still characterizing them wrong? Jesus christ you are bad at this.

But more importantly: imagine, in 2019, seeing someone "downplaying the frequency of people simply making **** up" in a country that sees 7100 hate crimes a year (and rising), in a country with numerous high-profile events of people gunning down masses of others targeted due to race or religion, and thinking to yourself: "yeah, I need to set that libtard straight"
02-19-2019 , 01:50 PM
It's not remotely "in the same vein as Smollet" for person A to commit a crime against person B, and then a 3rd party suspects it's a hate crime, and it turns out that the 3rd party is wrong.

The point I was making was clear and not changed at all by you adding a statistically insignificant number of examples to the gigantic sample of actual hate crimes. In fact, that those are so easy to find and are trumpeted by the usual suspects, including you, is exactly my point.

Are burglaries ever faked? Are car accidents ever faked? How often do you bring that up when someone has a burglary or car accident?

Some of the most recent contributions to this thread are CONCLUSIVE PROOF that this forum's leftist mods do not delete enough posts!

Inso0 is probably the best in this entire forum at being wrong about something and doubling down on it. Reminds me of the time I played BJ with a guy who was doubling on 13s vs bust cards and staying with nearly anything vs face cards.

Hate crimes against homosexuals and others are up. Which is a win for you!

Alabama KKK newspaper editor inherited the paper from his father, because of course he did.

This thread gives me a headache. Can't we all just agree that there are despicable people on both sides and be done? That people from both sides fake things to further their agenda and that people from both sides commit hate crimes of some form or another? This constant bickering back and forth only serves to further disintegrate any chance of turning this **** around.

Why do hate crimes go up when one side is in power and not the other?

"Our country is divided because Democrats won't admit they're just as bad at doing hate crimes as Republicans" is a ****ing nuclear take

I am not so sure that, if reviewed objectively, the FBI data on hate crimes can lead you to the certain conclusion that "hate crimes always go up when Repubs are in charge and down when Dems are in charge". There are ebbs and flows since 1996 (latest data I could find on FBI Website):

Year # Of Reported Incidents % Chg
1996 8759
1997 8047 -8.13%
1998 7755 -3.63%
1999 9301 19.94%
2000 8063 -13.31%
2001 9730 20.67%
2002 7462 -23.31%
2003 7489 0.36%
2004 7649 2.14%
2005 7160 -6.39%
2006 7720 7.82%
2007 7621 -1.28%
2008 7783 2.13%
2009 6598 -15.23%
2010 6624 0.39%
2011 6216 -6.16%
2012 5790 -6.85%
2013 5928 2.38%
2014 6418 8.27%
2015 6837 6.53%
2016 7321 7.08%
2017 8437 15.24%
2018 Not available

Now, I did not read through each annual report to verify whether or not data collection methodology changed over time or definition of "hate crime" changed over time. But clearly, there are years in the Clinton/Bush/Obama administrations that show both spikes and declines. All I am saying is that I am not sure that your point is totally valid (although I will admit the 2017 spike is alarming/damning).

A newspaper is openly calling for the Klan to ride again and hang Democrats, but sure, let's engage in some both sidesing.

no worries. mueller's illegal, unethical, and almost completely fraudulent investigation is quickly balancing that out.

all the dems had to do was let Trump be Trump and they would have had plenty of ammo to remove him from office. Instead, they lost their **** and made up a slew of bogus charges. And, ironically enough, that kind of intense pressure has kept Trump from Trumping himself out of office.

My favorites bar is even more deplorable than you ever imagined.

CCAP for oppressing would-be tenants, some banking links, a City of Milwaukee contact list, and a copy of the 2018 Rent Certificate because I'm sick of looking it up every time some lazy jabroni contacts me asking for their cert to do taxes.

My googlefu handles anything else I might need. Try it some time.

Cite the fake chargers against trump? And lol at letting trump be trump getting him. The GOP has the integrity for that. Good one.
