One problem I have with this is it smells like Rick Perry's claim during the RNC debates about job growth in Texas, yet ignores rising poverty rates.

Even though that's for another thread, I thought I'd put it out there.

Rick Perry and Barack Obama are creatures cut from the same cloth. When you elect a power hungry con man into a position of power, you shouldn't expect real results, particularly when you are using failed metrics to assess their job performance.

Are we seriously talking about Brazil vs. Chile ITT? OK, I was wondering how long it'd take this thread to die a natural death, but I think it's time to take Old Yeller out back to the shed and shoot him. In the unlikely event of material news involving Zimmerman, the Martin family, or unexpected new facts coming out about the case (actual facts, and actually about the case), then PM a mod to reopen it.

Well, we have news:

BREAKING: George Zimmerman's wife calls police, saying he threatened her and her dad with a gun, police say

Lol. Good lord.

Apparently he's been pulled over twice for speeding since the trial. IDK why this irritates me so much - I'd think if I had successfully evaded a murder verdict I'd be on my absolute best behavior at all times when it comes to obeying the law, nevermind threatening my wife with a gun.

I wonder how this fits into "the narrative?"

you sound thrilled to be reopening this thread wookie

I have been away from the forums for about a month due to moving across the country and starting a new job. However, when I saw this news just now I had to come back for the LOLs.

I wonder where Team Zim is now? But seriously, I am glad that we have such a shining example of responsible gun ownership.

Zim got dat lean imo.

In defense of gun rights, his soon to be ex wife should have definitely bought a piece to stand her ground with against the violent thug GZ if he came around again despite the restraining order.

Once a dog gets a taste for biting it is guaranteed to bite again. You gotta put it down.

You hate George Zimmerman because George Zimmerman does things like tour the Kel-Tec gun factory and take pictures

Spoiler:

good ol' zim was just standing his ground , nothing to see here .

If this is true GZ is like epicly ******ed. I mean, guilty or innocent of the other crimes, it's just like unfathomably idiotic to get involved into some sort of crazy fight with your wife, especially one that has it in for you, given the past year.

Wife obviously snooping around kitchen cabinets, peering into the refrigerator....

9-1-1 Call

- Zimmerman punched wife's dad in the nose.
- Grabbed her iPad and smashed it.
- Standing with hand on gun telling her to "come closer, come closer"

Would be awesome if they charge him was something relatively minor then give him the maximum sentence possible, OJ Simpson-style.

Why'd you close this thread before?

This is further evidence of the nature of zim's mental health problems and should bear on his credibility and the interpretation of what happened the night of Trayvon's murder.

I'm not sure if it came out before or during the trial but the wife had left to stay elsewhere the night of the murder because of tensions with zim. That is obviously germane to the case for ill will toward Trayvon as zim was in the midst of a major domestic dispute when he shot the kid.

I'd love to hear the talk radio conference call on how to pin this on black people.

Yes it's idiotic but that is a very broad description. How would we usefully characterize this?

This is another example of zim's threatening, aggressive, controlling, and ultimately extremely anti-social behavior. This corroborates accounts of zim's past co-workers of him flying into violent rages when dealing with conflicts.

zim was extremely angry the night he killed Trayvon and he let loose that murderous rage on a innocent kid who was just walking home.
