As you may know, Australia is shortly to have a postal vote on whether to legalize gay marriage. When the prospect of this vote was raised, marriage equality advocates expressed concern that the tone of any debate would be distressing to gay people. Happily though, so far it's just entirely classy and respectful material like this, which appeared in a friend's letterbox:
"Gay marriage leads to authoritarian goverment" is a novel argument and I was excited to see what the examples were going to be. Let's see here.... "Canada, USA, New Zealand, Denmark, France, Ireland and Britain". Hmm. I mean, I think the argument could use some work.
