Best "Ron Howard voice" setup in a while.

Interestingly, McCain is now able to pass a Turing test.

Giant meteor that will eventually collide with Earth, killing all life
Hitler and the Third Reich
Republicans
Finding out you have AIDS while trapped in a burning hospital
Waking up and finding your penis cut off, and that you're some weirdo's captive
John McCain
Being waterboarded
Jared Fogel's browser history
Still-warm human excrement on your car seat
Opening your Star Wars presents as a kid and getting two Landos and no Vader
Carrot Top
Polio...

I dropped McCain one spot on the Things That Suck list

I mean, he only voted that way because he's not running for reelection and it let other Rs vote yes
07-28-2017 , 11:37 AM
This is why he voted no.

“I will not vote for this bill as it is today,” McCain said, emphasizing every word. “It’s a shell of a bill right now ― we all know that. I have changes urged by my state’s governor that will have to be included to earn my support for final passage of any bill.”

Apparently the changes his gov. sought weren't made.

He voted to move the bill forward for debate/amendments, not passage.

He voted yes to the BCRA

This might be the funniest, most original post I have ever seen

There is nothing funny about making fun of a dying man who's spent his entire life serving the country to the best of his ability subject to political constraints.

I think he deserves credit for ultimately voting no. I think he voted that way precisely why he said in his speech on Tuesday, and I think he felt like he was representing the wishes of those in his state by voting no.

Anyone watching MSNBC just now? They had Sen Merkel on, who said McCain extracted some minor concessions on the defense authorization bill on the floor just before the thumbs down

Senator McCain will accept your apologies now. But of course most of you won't bother.

Correct.

I love the varying degrees of #conflicted you're seeing right now on this topic.

There's the crazy right who think he's a full-on traiter. Rating: Not conflicted!
There's the people on the left who think he's still generally an ******* but feel compelled to give him *some* credit here. Rating: Kinda conflicted :-/
Then there's the ones on the right who on one hand would love to call him a traitor but feel an even greater kneejerk impulse to defend him (on a vote they hate he took) because it let's them say **** like "Still waiting on your apologies, libtards". Rating: Deeply conflicted!

Hmm, McCain enraged me with his vote, but he also offers me an opportunity to tone-police and scold libs. What to do?

No need to apologize. McCain voted for BCRA.

Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski should be commended for their stand.

I only apologize to senators that were not captured.

It is quite the most brilliant post I have ever seen in my 20+ years of reading posts.

Bravo delivery. You see the list and wonder what can they all have in common. Jared Fogle's browser history, Third Reich, and penis cut-off? Where does John McCain fit into this hodgepodge menagerie?

Bam.

Delivers.

Honestly, I don't get it.
