Scavino definitely does around 50% of Trump's tweets. Not sure of the process, who else is involved, or when they are ok'd.

This seems like a pretty naive take, especially with respect to Putin’s translator.

You could not be more wrong. It's probably one of the most difficult jobs on the planet as you have to be an expert on every subject they might talk about.

Knowing Trumps thorough hiring practices this means it will be Trump + 3 Russian Intelligence officers in the room.

Who do you think Putin would let advise him? Same with Trump. If they wanted advisers they could meet the old fashioned way with 1-2 top advisers. They want absolute secrecy about what is discussed, with no official read out or notes.

Well, one of them does at least. Putin is easily capable of recording the meeting, getting Trump to say things that would destroy him, and then adding that to the suitcase full of kompromat toys.

I actually thought it was pretty clever.

Even if it was (which I don't believe), she still needs to go away forever.

I think it's impossible, but it would be awesome if Mueller has a FISA warrant for the meeting. (Actually, not sure FISA warrant would be required for US citizen who is abroad.)

By the way where is the headline blaring "Trump blames america for icy US Russia relations"? That sounds like something that weak effeminate Obama would do not musclebound non-bowing Trump.

I've often wondered what these people got paid for their services. Seems like if you're fluent in a country's native tongue plus are a policy wonk for that nation you could almost name your price

I've never seen a translator portrayed as anything close to an "adviser."

Win World Cup in Russia on Sunday, shut down official trade representation in Russia on Monday during Trump summit.

"France has announced the closure of its office in Russia that promotes exports and investments in France."

"The embassy cited the director’s expulsion from Russia and the seizure of the office’s bank account.

Business France’s director was one of four French diplomats expelled in March. The forced departures were part of Russia’s response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats by Western countries over the nerve-agent poisonings of a Russian former double agent and his daughter in England."

No one is saying the job is easy, we're saying they are not advising Trump and Putin on policy issues. They have to understand a lot of things to be able to describe them in two languages, not to guide Trump and Putin to sound foreign policy.
