So, Maddow is reporting that the WSJ is saying that Trump is planning on merging the Departments of Education and Labor.

I mean...if true, what is the plan here? Why?

So the sex cult guy resigning from the WH didn't really break through. Wonder what would have happened if Obama had a sex cult guy in a senior WH position?

"Merged the department of education with labor" will fit in nicely on those laundry lists of stuff Trump has accomplished

Not that any of this matters at this point, at least a third of the country wants zero immigration.
Pulling up the drawbridge behind them types. We have them here too - recent arrivals who voted for Brexit.

New school subjects:
Trump Math
Trump Science
Trump History
Trump English
Trumpism

If Donald Trump imprisons 8 Guatemalan children and executes their parents, how many people has he abused?

Spoiler:
Zero. In Trumpism, immigrants aren't people.

That's been an on again, off again policy. In the past the United States has banned immigration from China and majority Catholic countries like Italy and Ireland.

There was a pilot program that did that along with a few other things. It had a 99.9% check in rate. Attorney General Sessions abandoned it as soon as he came into office. There is no compromise for Trump. It's indefinite detention for everyone or nothing.

The kind of education and labor that Trump is interested in are actually quite similar, makes sense to combine departments.

Too much thinking.

It's quite simple: he could do it without Congressional authorization and it looks like he's shrinking the government.

I'm tired of the self-policing of language liberals do. People need to be allowed to call deplorables exactly what they are without being compelled to apologize. Otherwise, they lose the messaging battle.

Destroy education to make more republicans

It’s been the plan for awhile now.

Good quote hidden in the middle of that dreck.

Quote:
Jessica Valenti, a columnist for Guardian U.S. and the author of multiple books on feminism, politics and culture, said restraint played into Mr. Trump’s hands.

“Expecting those of us who are scared and angry over what our country is becoming to speak with civility is absurd — civility died the day Trump took office,” she wrote. “It’s like telling a woman to smile as she’s being sexually harassed on the street: We’re not just supposed to put up with injustice, we’re meant to be cheerful through it, as well.”

Next time you fight with a deplorable just be dirty as hell. They almost respect you more because they don't expect it from a lib. Serious.

Tell them they'd lick their own **** off Trump's dick after he butt ****s them. They love it.

Look, he got his Time cover.

Jim Mattis is not completely on the Trump train and might be the least deplorable of the administration. I'm sure he'll be forced out pretty soon and replaced with a war-hungry sociopath. John Bolton would fit in with Trump's ideology of bombing brown people for ****s and giggles.

Trump is almost certainly going to be 2018 Time Person of the Year again. He should probably know that the award isn't necessarily a positive thing. Hitler got it. Henry Kissinger got it. Stalin got it twice. To him that's probably a good thing but to non-sociopaths it's not.

I'd love to see Time troll Trump by giving it to Robert Mueller. After all, POTUS normally gets the award once per term.
