Wasn't it a scandal that Van Jones (J.D., Yale) had some "Green Jobs" position in the Obama Administration?

Van Jones got wrecked by Fox News idiocy about his supposedly radical history which involved something like speaking to Mumia Abdul Jamal. It was all BS which was clear very soon, but not until after he resigned as an energy/green jobs advisor to Obama to save Obama the scrutiny. Obama shouldn't have accepted the resignation. Van Jones is pretty awesome. His prior gig was doing community solar stuff in Richmond.

Today, in Articles That Have Aged Well: How Could Obama Have Hired Van Jones? (RealClearPolitics, 2009)

Quote:
The "lies and distortions" consisted of reporting Mr. Jones' arrest during a riot, and quoting, accurately, from statements Mr. Jones had made and from petitions he had signed.

Mr. Jones was arrested during the rioting in Los Angeles in 1992 that followed the acquittal of the police officers who beat Rodney King. Mr. Jones spoke of that experience in a 2005 interview with a newspaper in the San Francisco Bay area:

"I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28, and then the verdicts came down on April 29," he told the East Bay Express. "By August, I was a communist."
Quote:
But what did Mr. Jones in was the revelation that in 2004 he had signed a petition calling on then-New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to investigate whether the Bush administration had been behind the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Quote:
Did the Secret Service object to Van Jones? If so, who overrode them? What did the president know and when did he know it?

Challenge accepted and summarily dismissed:

Maybe it's just the day I'm having, but it seems to me like the wheels are coming off the Trump administration. The question is, how far can one travel without wheels and what kind of damage can be done?

i fully accept being a bad human being if it means I can enjoy the incoming internet-bullying of Trump junior after his wife leaves him.

to say that donald trump junior is a failure as a man, would be pretty accurate. as a father, as a husband, as a citizen of these united states, he has failed tremendously and should be locked up in jail immediately

Not this guy anymore

You got to enjoy it. In all the Adam Sandler movies the rich villains lose the girl. All we need now is Big trump to drive his golf cart into the pond and come out with his toupee missing.

This is such an accurate description of where we are at as a nation that I can't even consider this statement to be sarcasm or satire.

land o lakes thinks the new york post is really close to infowars, so confirmation of this trump jr divorce story just confirmed like 60 or 70% of infowars. maybe even as high as 80%

We live in the world of opinion and facts melting together. Hence melting pot. #history

And Huckabeast says Trump has been really tough on Russia...

FBI and DHS Warn That Russia Has Been Poking at Our Energy Grid

The Technical Alert was credited to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). For the first time, the agencies have publicly accused hackers working on behalf of the Russian government of implementing a “multi-stage intrusion campaign” that targeted “government entities and multiple U.S. critical infrastructure sectors, including the energy, nuclear, commercial facilities, water, aviation, and critical manufacturing sectors.”

I don't think it was brought up here but infowars is being sued by a guy who won't settle and fox news is being sued by the seth rich family for spreading that bull****. Hopefully both win massive amounts.

Doesn't Don Jr hunt elephants for fun? I'll delight in every moment of his misery. Oh he's also a traitor.

And man would I like to have the character to not make fun of SHS for being beastly. Alas. You take a job as professional liar in chief to aid and abet a psychopath, it's all fair game.

Some people white knighting Trump Jr.s marriage on twitter cracks me up. They say kids are involved. Which I say exactly.

Having a father in your life every day is not something that supersedes everything else. The kids are much better off the less time they spend in the presence of any other trumps.

The poor kids are going to have to get used to having different nannies at different houses.

Liberals have learned nothing, part 956.

Getting away from Donald Jr. is the last and only chance any of those kids have.
