Has anyone seen the Netflix limited series Dirty Money? The 6th and final episode is all about Trump - I'm shocked that it isn't getting more media attention.

The guy is a conman. That's it.

Re: Dirty Money

I binged that a couple weeks ago or so. Some of the early ones gave me that "shake my head but still chuckle" feeling, if that makes sense, and I thought maybe the Trump one would be funny too. It was not funny. It was incredibly sobering and I walked away depressed at the state of our country, that we elected such an obvious joke and piece of ****.

I don't think it presented anything that posters here don't already know, but it waded through the usual bull**** and pulled things together in a very sobering way that we don't get in the current bat**** crazy news environment.

Yeah, it's kinda hidden on Netflix, but it's pretty good, especially if you haven't been following compulsively.

Michael Cohen claims he paid Stormy Daniels out of his own pocket and ldo has not been reimbursed

Michael D. Cohen, President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, said on Tuesday that he paid $130,000 out of his own pocket to a pornographic-film actress who had once claimed to have had an affair with Mr. Trump.

In the most detailed explanation of the 2016 payment made to the actress, Stephanie Clifford, Mr. Cohen, who worked as a counsel to the Trump Organization for more than a decade, said he was not reimbursed for the payment.

“Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly,” Mr. Cohen said in a statement to The New York Times. “The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone.”

He declined to answer several follow-up questions, including whether Mr. Trump had been aware that he made the payment, what the motivation was or whether he had made similar payments to other people over the years.

Wait so is Cohen saying he paid 130k to sleep with her himself?

If not then waht the **** is he trying to say? And why? THis **** is so absurd

we even had that 130k withdrawal on record from the campaign records
02-13-2018 , 11:02 PM
Yeah Cohen is saying that he personally paid the $130k to her from his own money and it had nothing to do with Trump or anything sexual. LUL

They're scared as hell of something.
02-13-2018 , 11:07 PM
There have been an unusual lack of documentaries on Trump.
02-13-2018 , 11:08 PM
Why on earth would Cohen pay for that out of his own pocket? Makes no sense at all.

This is interesting. I have never been a fan of the other argument, which is that junk food is cheaper than healthy food. Because, well, it really isn't. A 5lb bag of apples costs the same as a bag of chips. Who eats 5lbs of apples as fast as they eat a bag of chips? Plus, look at first generation immigrants. They manage to eat a diet that resembles what they ate in their home country. They don't start mass consuming Doritos cause they are cheaper than rice and beans (again, they aren't).

Cohen is lying to try to avoid a big campaign finance violation would be my guess.
02-13-2018 , 11:17 PM
Also IANAL.
02-13-2018 , 11:20 PM
I am also uncertain that there is any real evidence that poor people eat more junk than rich people.
02-13-2018 , 11:21 PM
So, uh, subpoena Cohen. That **** isn't privileged.

food deserts exist. i've lived in one, that 5lb bag of apples that you think is cheaper, isnt cheaper after the time and money spent on multiple forms of public transportation to get to it and back.

however there was a cvs/dollar store and some convenience stores down the block, and they definitely didnt have fruit or vegetables. they had really overpriced ramen and peanut butter.

Every reasonably person knew that there might’ve been something good in the GOP memo because it was spearheaded by True American Hero Devin Nunes
