MBS will write a strongly worded letter of reprimand to himself

Wowzers, calm down ladies I'm not a UKIP or Tory voter, I was a Labour voter. I take you it you two are big time Corbyn supporters?

I remember years ago when I would be extremely critical of KSA and people like you two would get just offended then, and then it seems like as soon as you found out they buy weapons of the Tories it was bye bye loyalty to Saudi. Kind of like George Galloway with Saddam back in the 80s, an enemy of my country is a friend of mine.

You think I'm a Tory/ukipper cause I don't like Islam but I don't like any far right religions or groups, just like I don't like far left cult Corbyn followers.

And Flywf i only wear shorts when its hot outside. But I'd wager you're a middle class white guy who's considered growing dreadlocks, probably broke into an empty commercial property after leaving uni and stayed there rent free to "give it to the man". I'm guessing daddy paid any fines you got.

I'm a white Atheist. But my guess is that it makes it higher up my list because we live in totally different areas.

Example I remember reading a couple years ago, from NYT: How Kosovo Was Turned Into Fertile Ground for ISIS (their answer: Saudi Arabia)
Well, uh, seems like we have our answer:

Don't get me wrong, I see groups like Britain first going on about how these people are bad, and with people like that it's a good way for them to disguise their real hatred of those people, but shouldn't every liberal hate something extreme as Wahhibism and just the idea of Sharia law?

Wow, UKers really need to update their cultural references, I don't even know what the second one is talking about and dreadlocks were...90s?

More relevant to this thread: it's interesting that the facade that underpins this whole diplomatic dance is a shared understanding that "murdering journalists is bad", or more accurately that there's a shared understanding people are supposed to believe in this. Given that the Trump administration and the world in general as it descends into right-wing chaos has no problem blasting away established norms, it seems like the easiest way out of this (and the one they're slowly working their way towards) is just saying "**** it, who cares if they murdered a journalist?"

Putin barely conceals it, Trump is probably like "why the **** should I have to pretend to care about this?"

Seems pretty clear that’s Turmp wants to be able to kill journalists. Like, I don’t even think he’s pretending otherwise. He routinely calls them enemies of the state and uses similar rhetoric to demonize them and make them appear to be evil or criminals.

In other news, suspect in murder of Bulgarian journalist Viktoria Marinova extradited from Germany, apparently a random sex murder.

I was surprised he spoke out about Britain's Russian spy poisoning, I figured he'd stay quiet because it seems something he would agree with.

It's not just Trump

10-17-2018 , 03:19 PM
**** me this roddy guy is awful.

Can people stop using the term "Ukers" to encompass him, the same as people don't use 'Americans' when talking about Trump supporters?

I choose to read his posts in Rowdy Roddy Piper's voice and it really does help

Oh man this hypocrisy you've uncovered between the positions I hold today and the imaginary positions someone you invented held years ago has really ****ing won the day.

Hmm no actually you are a far right dip**** who is literally in this thread trying to workshop yourself into defending KSA murdering a dissident journalist because you badly want to murk Owen Jones.

****ing children of privilege trying the "daddy" card? ***** that only works one way, from me to you, because you are Daddy's Sweet Little Prince(and I do mean Sweet) while I ****ing advocate for abolishing inherited wealth.

But again, the core issue isn't how you're lying(centrist Labour voters DO hate Corbyn but they aren't Islamaphobic and they aren't going to defend MBS here, you ****ed up because you don't read anything to the left of Tommy Robinson youtube transcripts) but how plain dumb you are.

The "golly fellers I heard this guy was Muslim Brotherhood" and "Are you saying" with no ****ing groundwork. Put in some ****ing prep time, make some banal substantive posts, get people to define their positions before breaking down into sobbing anger at the ****ing Pakis.

Looks like I have a slow pony about fingers being cut off. I get the feeling these are very limited sources, and probably the same ones that floated the Apple watch nonsense, so veracity is in some question but yikes.

So this is what it feels like to live in an authoritarian country. The government is corrupt, unaccountable, cares nothing for human rights, propagandizes and lies all the time, inequality between the elites and regular people, etc.

Again, Trump sucks, but would the above NOT be true if a different person were president?

No one is claiming the US-Saudi relationship started with Trump, but I think any other president in my lifetime would be treating this much more seriously and consider blowing up the relationship over it, and I think the Saudis know that Trump is uniquely gullible and feckless in a way that made them more likely to try something like this with him as president instead of someone else. They probably pictured this going down much more smoothly ("shrug, he disappeared, we don't know where he is" rather than "oh **** the Turks actually have audio of us sawing his fingers off"), but still, they were never getting much plausible deniability out of him never being seen again after he walks into the consulate.

Other presidents believed killing journalists is a bad thing that corrupt third-world dictators do, and thus would have been spurred into major action, or at worst the appearance of major action, over something like this. Trump believes killing journalists is something to aspire to, which is why he's trying to weasel out of having to care about this in the slightest.
