Only guy I can think of is Mikey Palmice getting free alterations, who likely didn't tell anyone because his abuse at Tony's hands was so humiliating. And there were no witnesses. Tony hit Ralphie in front of everyone.

I was thinking of Mikey when I typed that. I feel like there were others but maybe just Mikey, but if the point is, "You can't hit a made guy without a sit down" then Tony definitely stepped out of line, and he wasn't even boss at that point, not "officially/unofficially." Yet Mikey made no beef at a time when a) he was Junior's #2 and b) Junior and Tony were at odds.

But after Ralphie it seemed to be a bigger deal in general than it was early on, like Tony chastising Christopher for "throwing food at Vito."

Anyway, probably best left for ootv.

well b) is kinda mitigating because Tony was responding to the murder of one of his associates and the mock execution of his family member/associate. There's probably different rules in conflict between crews.

but yeah probably shouldn't derail any more

Tony mainly killed Ralphie because a sudden fight broke out after hearing about how Ralph killed his horse for the insurance money.

Feel like the main theme of the Sopranos is that supposed street codes of these organizations are largely bogus and in reality it’s just a collection of psychopaths.

4 calls made from consulate to Saudi prince’s office the day Khashoggi was killed: report
The report by Yeni Safak on Monday said Maher Abdulaziz Mutreb, a member of Prince Mohammed’s entourage on trips to the United States, France and Spain this year, made the calls from the consulate. The newspaper said the four calls went to Bader al-Asaker, the head of Prince Mohammed’s office. It said another call went to the United States.

I didn't know until reading this article that his fiance was outside waiting for him while he was being murdered

I read that the call to the United States was to another Prince who either was here or just uses a US cell phone number.

I've read at various times in various places that there's a small group on the right working behind the scenes to make peace with Iran but it's definitely not mainstream and since the Iran nuclear deal I've seen ugatz
Iran was a useful boogeyman, but behind the scenes it probably used to be more lax. They have sway, powerful friends and have a tendency to get into extremist heads of state if anyone tries to push them around. It probably didn't hurt that by pretending to be rough on Iran, the US kept Saudi-Arabia happy.

These days the policy is steered by people who probably couldn't find Iran on a map, let alone know the difference between Persians and Arabs or read a safety briefing. And voices of sanity is a deep state conspiracy. So who knows. Foreign policy decisions are now completely arbitrary.

Trump Says Saudi Account of Khashoggi Killing Is ‘Worst Cover-Up’ In History
“They had a very bad original concept,” Mr. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “Somebody really messed up.”

“Whoever thought of that idea is in big trouble, I think, and they should be in big trouble,” he added.

Mr. Trump said he would reserve final judgment on who was responsible for Mr. Khashoggi’s killing until American officials, including the C.I.A. director, Gina Haspel, returned from Turkey in the next couple of days.

Is anyone jumping on this? By "worst" he didn't "the most evil". He meant the "stupidest". And he was implying that this stupidity added to the magnitude of their crime (as opposed to the mere fact that they covered it up adds to it.)

Apparently they beamed some guy in from SA over Skype during the interrogation.

Turkish intelligence has the video of that Skype call.

They dont seem super smart.

he's disappointed they left a ton of evidence and now he can't credibly help them cover up the murder. trump hates journalists and he loves murder. he WISHES ksa woulda gotten away with this.

Trump only seems critical of an incompetent cover-up, not of the murder.

But I'm sure he's been taking notes and nodding with approval anyway.
