Why does it feel like it is? It feels weak to go to the mods to handle a prick. Either I misunderstood you (which is quite possible of course) or a lot of the 'tone policing' thingy you love to go on about is actually one side disagreeing about whether the claim is justified while you think it makes no sense to talk of justification because it doesn't mean anything very much - leaving just tone, much like blowing raspberries
