The entire argument reminds me of a pre-school bully exclaiming "you're the one standing where I punch!". The comparison is apt in other ways too, in those cases it also tends to end up with the victim having to live with it or move.

The integral part of civilization is implied by the word. No, we won't go through life without offending someone and nor should we. But on the same token, you shouldn't be able to go through life without learning that acting uncivilized is okay and everybody who is hurt by you is just a "special snowflake". And I don't really care if what you're doing isn't illegal or against the constitution. If that is the only metric for ethical behavior, we might as well close shop right now and declare our societies failed. Law alone will never be glue enough.

And yes, in an ideal world everyone fights back and everything is groovy. That's not how it works, not everyone is like that. A lot of people stayed at home to avoid those firehoses he talks about so passionately.

I was reading some old posts and it really pisses me off that people like dids do not get people who think different than them on a fundamental level. like hes a great example of a good guy who treated other good people like **** because he could not transpose his liberal views onto people who think in a fundamentally different way than him. an example of the opposite is el diablo; total **** but on a fundamental level gets how people think.

BP is kind of a double entendre in that it is my intials and stands for bipolar in this context. I'm probably going to take care fo a few things, release a few videos and pictures and then write a lengthy suicide note and kill myself about a month from now. Thanks Tilted donkey though.
