Was bigly. At least 600k in DC, prob. 4M+ nationally. Trump will pretend in never happened as he slips deeper into the darkness

I don't know what the march was even about

That level of inquisitiveness, curiosity, understanding and knowledge is why you voted for Trump.

Thanks for being a poster boy for what a Trump voter is and how they could have voted for him.

Did nobody on your Facebook feed tell you why those whiny liberal ladies were marching and making noise?

Being topical - less sexual assaults for one.

It wasn't just about women's rights btw and men were equally welcome.

has the GOP legislation introduced a bill to make sexual assault legal? I'd think that would be worth marching against and writing my representative about
01-22-2017 , 04:43 AM
People can, of course, march and protest about more than simple issues of legality.

There's practice as well as law. It's often impossible to seek legal redress for being grabbed by the pussy.

So are you saying that as a result of Trump's inauguration that women can no longer go to the police when they've been sexually assaulted?

No. On this issue it's a stand against a move towards a more misogynistic society.

sure it is.

but the wider point was that some issue are gender specific. just like some issues are connected to identity/sexuality/ethnicity/skin colour and so on.

how is a woman's right to get an abortion in danger? it would take the stars aligning to overturn roe v. wade. a case would have to make it there to challenge the ruling and then the SC would have to decide to revisit the case (hint: the SC hates to revisit cases a previous SC has already ruled on without an extremely compelling reason to do so. can't think of any compelling reason to revisit roe v wade. ditto for gay marriage which supposedly is in danger too). even if "conservative" justices are appointed to the SC by Trump, that doesn't guarantee they'll vote any particular way on a case by case basis. Come on, a conservative SC upheld the ACA

it's already been made terribly hard plenty of places. less judiciary support is only going to make that worse.

Heartbeat laws, possible overturning on the admitting rights on abortion doctors, lots more hurdles put in the way, possible government support for "crisis centers", the possible discontination of payment to planned parenthood, etc etc.

Nah man should be on every corner, free with a happy meal. Redeemed at the woman's leisure.
01-22-2017 , 05:04 AM
I want the right to use abortions as birth control so my boyfriend don't have to wear a condom!
01-22-2017 , 05:06 AM
Hey look it turned out you did know what the march was about you just pretended to be ignorant when in reality you just didn't care.

I mean that's all you had to say.

people have been making this argument for a hundreds of years btw. http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7321...-rich-and-poor

planned parenthood helps both men and women, but women have more health issues relating to sex, pregnancy and so on. defunding planned parenthood is a women's issue too even if it's the same for everyone. even when the law is the same for everyone, and it's often not, it might hit some groups harder.

anyway, you seem sincerely concerned about these issues.
