I just hope they wait a bit before doing it. It's ****ing cold out there and Punxsutawney Phil says 6 more weeks.
I suppose it makes black bloc tactics a bit easier if everybody is in a parka and balaclava for practical, weather-related reasons.
Mid-80s. Sounds perfect, but it's a bit uncomfortably hot working in the sun all day. Ridiculous for feb 1st. The 65 degree winter was nice for about a month. I'm trying to put myself in the position where I'm not on the roof all summer.
I know the protests are set for Mueller being fired, but I will look to hit the streets if Rosenstein is fired as well.
Likewise. Die hard Eagles fan, too, but if he does it tonight, I am ready to protest at noon tomorrow and hopefully make it back for kickoff, then resume protesting after the game if it's still going on.
March 24th is a big day. I assume all of you will be participating in the March for Our Lives to end gun violence.
But, if you can make it a double, you might look for demonstrations against the Turkish invasion of Rojava. They just took Afrin. Tens of thousands more displaced people in Syria. If there's a Turkish consolate or embassy near you it's probably the place to be.

My wife and I are planning on going to the March in DC - I'll look into whether there's anything planned at the embassy there.
Going to the March for Our Lives in Boston tomorrow. Meeting with neighbors regularly to discuss actions. Held a SwingLeft fundraiser at our house last week. Hosted a candidate for state rep at a coffee. Attended her campaign kickoff. Will host her main primary opponent in a couple weeks at a coffee. Wrote postcards with Sister District this week. Talked to another neighbor last night; trying to get her to attend an event. I mentioned Roy Moore, and she said, "Who?" This is a fairly liberal person, so I think there's plenty of opportunity for recruitment.
Curious why you brought up Roy Moore with a neighbor in the Boston area?
I don't remember the exact context (the neighbor was visiting for a cocktail), but I think it was as an example of a sexual predator who pursues teenaged girls. I just assumed she would agree that he is an egregious example, but she didn't.
I have to remember that many or even most people DGAF about what they consider politics.
There is a thread over at chiefsplanet about the march. One of the posters said it was too bad there wasn't an active shooter at each march to take out some of the Soros kids. He literally wished for them to be shot for protesting. This should be all we ever need to know about the deplorable piece of **** right.
I got there late in Boston, so there were only 30k or so people there. But even the cops estimated 50k in the march, and many more people just went to the rally. So I believe the organizers' 100k estimate.
The answer to the guy trying to pooh-pooh the protests is:
Going to send an invite/reminder for our next candidate coffee event now.
Turkish consulate protest was a bust. I guess we were late. We were there before the supposed end time. Maybe the protestors were all dissappeared by the time we got there. There were still police directing traffic at the intersection. Maybe something had happened.
If they are triggered, hopefully not. We'd need real civil disobedience - occupations, blockades, etc. Whether or not people will actually do that... idk. Can't say I'm wildly optimistic about it.
