So that's your proof that I oppose freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, and want to destroy America?

Come on dude. You'll have to do better than that.

Mostly, I just think you're posting terribly with this feeble attempt to manufacture hypocrisy on behalf of the people who would dare oppose your leader.

Really?

I thought I was making a legitimate point. I'm not attempting to manufacture anything. These people are protesting the result of a democratic election.

Protesting a man who has spread hateful messages during his campaign is not the same thing as protesting democracy.

Did you think the Tea Party was protesting democracy ~8 years ago? lol

No, they aren't.

They were protesting a President's actions who had already been in power for several years.

Trump's not even sworn in yet.
01-17-2017 , 04:46 PM
And current protesters are protesting a President-Elect's actions who's already been terrible at his job since election day. Get your concern trolling the **** out of here.

Better get broadway a safe space imo

"Why are you guys protesting democracy?! *tears*"

That's not even accurate he should be like "why are you guys protesting our constitutionally limited republic?" Because if we had straight majority rules democracy trump wouldn't have won

and the thing about that is when Trump does something wrong in the future and they protest, every one will assume they are just protesting for the sake of protesting just like they are doing now and not for legitimate reasons.

Tea Party protests started in February, 2009, br0.

You're saying protest can never be allowed in a democracy.

That is not how that works.

The account "Jules22" is one of my favorites on 2p2.

So what? One must wait for Dear Leader to be sworn in before exercising one's constitutional rights to speak, assemble, and petition the government for a redress of grievances? Yes, there are Democrats who challenge the legitimacy of Trump's election; they believe there are good reasons to doubt it. Many on the Left are talking of impeachment. Are you saying these concerns cannot be legitimately voiced until His Royal Trumpiness officially takes office? Because it really sounds like you're just whining about people exercising their rights.

That's an assumption, not a fact.
01-17-2017 , 06:00 PM
No. It is an actual fact.
01-17-2017 , 06:04 PM
Also, the new Congress HAS been sworn in, so if it really matters that much to Sushy, et al, y'all can just say say that I'm marching in opposition to their shenanigans.

[But I know it doesn't matter, so...]

You can say no all you want but you just look extremely dense for doing so. In a pure democracy based on recorded votes Clinton would have won. It's a factual statement.

If the election had been decided by popular majority vote, the totals would have been different. The campaigns would have been run differently and people may have voted differently than they did under the electoral college system.

So your "fact" is not factual. You're the one coming across as dense my friend.
01-17-2017 , 06:18 PM
Uh, shouldn't we let those participating express their own motivations. The vast majority of these peeps aren't shy about explaining themselves... for a lot of them that's the whole point. Why are we trying to guess about this shiz to begin with?

Nice fiction. Trump still would have said stupid stuff. Dumb people and racists would still have voted for him. And Clinton would have still won by ~3m.

North Dakota has a bill to legalize running over protesters.
