With a day to think on it I’m actually glad she acted that way. It is likely more encouraging to the kids to get involved and to micros point, truthful that they are going to have to fix it themselves. Probably an origin story right there.

If she had been more skillful about dodging their concerns it wouldn’t have changed reality.

This changes nothing. The "we can't pay for it" she says over and over again is straight up lying. The seven year old who corrected her and told her that we pay billions for the military and could take the money from there is being more truthful than she is. And Feinstein knows that.
